Unusual Piercings
:bounce_m: :crazy_fre :bounce_m:
i'm off to get myself a new piercing very soon for free (as the piercing lady felt so bad taking my last one out she gave me a voucher for free one-it did bloody hurt though!) I'm thinking of getting a horizontal eyebrow one, haven't really seen any of those about, i want something that's not too painful this time as well as my last two really hurt (through sticky out cartilidge bits in ear). i wanted the back of my neck pierced but have chickened out so far!!
anyone got any unusual ones? :toxic: :bounce_m: :crazy_fre :horay:

Tankette got inked!!
I am over the moon!!
I have wanted a tattoo for eons, but I am really fussy and wont get any old shit, and finally found someone who's work I love, and since finding him, I have waited 6 years to get it (a mixture of finances, he's based in Belgium, and other stuff getting in the way) and he's in the UK this weekend at the international convention and I managed to book a slot!! :bounce_fl:bounce_fl
Pretty scarey getting my first tattoo at a convention with thousands of people there, but I managed with the pain and didnt make a tit of myself, just closed my eyes, breathed through it and didnt complain or whine.
I dont think the Pictures are in order (and the numbers dont correspond if they come up), but pretty much start to finish
Let me know what you think :group_hug

Seriously
What a load of crap!!!!
EU ban on tattoo inks
The new EU rules mean that more than 4,000 chemical substances in tattoo inks will be banned. The reason given by the EU is suspicion of allergens and carcinogens in ink.
The rules mean that a wide range of tattoo colors, as they are now made, are prohibited. These are virtually all colors with the exception of green and blue.
That is, tattoos with black, gray and white ink are also still legal in their current form.
The rules apply from January 4, 2022

ZA : South Africans being robbed for their dreadlocks!
bad tings a gwan...
Jack Maseko was recently mugged by three men in South Africa - they wanted nothing but his mobile phone and the dreadlocks he had spent three years patiently cultivating.
"They had a knife and cut off my hair with scissors. I still feel pain when I think about that night," the 28-year-old Zimbabwean tells the BBC.
"I used to see people selling dreadlocks on the streets and didn't know where it came from," he adds, still battling to believe what happened to him as he was walking home late at night in Johannesburg.
Dreadlocks can take several years to grow but many people do not want to wait and it is this need for instant long hair that is pushing the demand for ready locks in the black market, according to hairstylists.
The thieves are quick and sometimes ruthless and will use anything from a knife to broken glass to steal the prized hair - known on the streets as a cut and run.

Sponsor georgethebluehippo’s Prince Albert in aid of Crohn’s and Colitis UK
Due to myself and now my brother having Crohn's Disease I thought I'd do something special instead of the usual fundraising bollocks.
Yes; I am going to undergo the Prince Albert with pride and without prejudice. The aim is 10 grand over an unlimited time period (high I know but everyone has his price).
Even if it's 2p you choose to give - you will have contributed to a very worthy cause - a smile on your face and more importantly; Crohn's and Colitis UK who do a lot of research and support for something that can wreck people mentally and physically.
George Pinnegar is fundraising for Crohn's and Colitis UK
Help us out a wee bit and please repost this wherever you see fit; reddit included. raaa

INT : Beards and Moustaches
I've been wondering about this for some time. All over the world, men with beards are usually viewed as older and wise, or linked to maritime activities. Both make sense as a beard keeps the wind out, and in Western education all male maths teachers seemed to have beards and also ancient druids, teachers, hippies what knew everything about computers. similar with gurus, imams and other wise men/teachers found in faith groups.
In some religions like Islam, a tidy beard is obligatory (or being clean shaven if you cannot grow one). Incidentally the acceptable standards of beards are virtually identical for both moderate Islam and the British Royal Navy!
In India, elaborate moustaches are prized. But over the Punjab in Pakistan, more conservative moustaches are preferred, but are valued in both nations as a symbol of authority. PK follows British moustache fashion which is "anything what is tidy and doesn't make you look like Hitler".#
An old Indian dude told me "never underestimate the value of a good moustache".
However younger Asians like myself prefer to be clean shaven, as now youthfulness is valued and beards and moustaches make you look old. In the 80s young Pakistani men more often grew moustaches but unless they have full beard for religious purposes tend to be clean shaven. My Muslim friends said "it did not matter so much in England, you can have either provided you are faithful".
Also, I have very rarely seen a young Chinese with a beard. Only old men, especially in films of rural area, and hollywood movies with rather stereotypical old Chinese men in karate type movies. And these men are usually age 80+.
anyone else noticed this? are you Asian, and if so do you have beard/moustache or prefer to be clean shaven?
