Hi Kyle,
Usually that is the case, as per your contract. However please note that leave during these occasions is only granted for genuine medical reasons. You line manager has determined that your leave was not due to medical reasons and as such we cannot grant leave on this occasion.

Hi Niresh,
My leave was due to medical reasons, so you cannot deny leave based on a line manager's discretion, with no proof, please process leave as requested.
Thanks

Kyle Doyle

UK : Wales/Cymru : Council and Heddlu stop rave after monitoring Facebook.. I thought facebook invites only went to "friends"? Clearly this "private social network" has somehow been infiltrated...

Whitesands rave thwarted
A posting on social networking site Facebook helped police and council officers thwart an illegal rave in Pembrokeshire over the weekend.
Messages inviting people to Whitesands 2008 branded an "erotic party" and "exodus of the city dweller", were flying around Facebook. Around 500 people were expected to attend.
But the massive popularity of of the website backfired when the messages were picked up by Dyfed-Powys Police and Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC).

facebook strikes again. Tube booze party was 'far uglier'
Many trains were damaged and vandalised At least 50 London Transport staff were assaulted by revellers who partied on trains to mark the ban on drinking alcohol on the Tube, a union has said.
One woman worker was hit by a bottle, a male staff member was punched in the face had beer poured over his head and a driver refused to move his train when a passenger climbed onto the roof.
Fucking idiots i mean who bottles a woman just cause she works on the tube. These people want castrating if you ask me. although im sure it started out peaceful it seems it turned nasty without the intervention of the police force for once.
all this has proved is that boris was right for banning alc on trains. Well done facebook.
facebook help any one know hot to mass post stuff on peoples walls? .. or if not the best way to let every one in your friends list about the same thing?:hopeless:

Saudi woman killed for using Facebook Things like this make me glad I live in the UK
Quote:
A Saudi Arabian woman was killed by her father after he found her chatting with a man on Facebook, reporters claim.
The woman from Riyadh was beaten and shot at point-blank range after her father walked in on her chatting with a male on the popular social destination. And although some have called on the Saudi Arabian government to condemn the killing as a harsh response to an innocuous conversation, many in the country see Facebook as the root of all evil for young people.
A 'door to lust' " Facebook is a door to lust and young women and men are spending more on their mobile phones and the Internet than they are spending on food," Saudi preacher Ali al-Maliki said.
He went on to explain that women are using Facebook to post revealing pictures of themselves in an attempt to appeal to Western countries that are trying to corrupt Saudi Arabian females.
According to Facebook, there are currently 30,000 Saudi Arabians using its service and many women use nicknames and post comic images or drawings on their pages instead of photographs to remain anonymous. But others see profile pages as a premediated attempt to break core religious principles that require all women to communicate only with those people in the same family and class connections.
Saudi Arabian government officials declined to comment on the news of the murder, but as tradition and technology clash in the oil-rich kingdom, more problems could arise.

Can anybody find out who he/she is
aol buy out bebo Time Warner's AOL internet division is buying the social networking site Bebo for $850m (£417m) in cash.
Bebo is the third-biggest social networking site in the US, behind MySpace and Facebook.
AOL says that Bebo has more than 40 million members worldwide who view an average of 78 pages per day each.
The price-tag is tiny when compared with the valuations of similar websites. Microsoft bought 1.6% of Facebook last year for $240m.

Protests force Facebook to change
Quote:
More than 50,000 Facebook users signed a petition calling on the company to alter or abandon its Beacon advertising technology.
When Facebook users shopped online, Beacon told friends and businesses what they looked at or bought.
Many considered the data sharing to be an intrusion that exposed them to more scrutiny than was comfortable.
Privacy please
In response to the demands, Facebook's 55 million members will have more control over whether data about what they do online is used for Beacon.
Before the changes, Beacon was an "opt out" system and many complained that they missed the chance to avoid using it when it was introduced in early November.
Now Beacon will be an "opt in" system that only tracks data if explicit permission is granted to Facebook to do so.

PV Radio on Facebook… Can you make it happen?
Please?
I've got no idea what's involved, but there are loads of other radio stations on there so I'm sure it can be done.
I'd love to have PV radio playing on by facebook profile.
