From farm to fridge (Shocking abuse deemed standard) THIS VIDEO SHOWS SLAUGHTER, UNNECESSARY HARM AND TORTURE TO ANIMALS
I would only recommend watching it if you really think you can handle it. It will show you a good thing or two that you didn't know about the slaughter industry.
Aww them poor baby chicks :(

I'm sitting here hoping that UK slaughter houses are better than the US but somehow I doubt it.

This is a HUGE Help! This is a HUGE Help! Found out about this flibberty gibbet on Oprah. I joined and it is great. I'm saving at least half off all my grocery bills and I don't have to tell you how frustrating it has been watching food costs skyrocket. Anyway thought I'd share this great find!

UK : East : Moar bacon A friend of mine (who used to live in Ipswich in an amazing house called the Spinney based on North European architecture (must get clearance to put the pics on here, sinner will love it) is presenting this. it is in 720/30p American video format but its made for some US hipster magazine to be watched on IPADs or something like that. This is the second of the local pig clubs, the first one is in Rushmere St Andrews to the east of Ipswich, but this one is in Bungay which is roughly between Diss and Lowestoft.

Delicious free meal I just had at the Banquet! ~~~ I just got back from eating ham with pineapple on top, dressing with gravy, green beans and coconut cream pie for dessert at the Banquet. The Banquet is rated #1 in the USA for it's quality free meals to the needy and it was a great meal, indeed! Tonight's meal they're also supposed to be giving out free electric blankets and free clothing, but it's a long walk there and back from where I live and you nearly burn more calories walking there and back than you take in by eating there. An electric blanket would be nice, though! I'll just wait and see how I feel later on this afternoon to make up my mind whether or not to go back down there to eat.
Now, I'm chilling out with some great poppy tea and watching "Star Wars" on my VCR. I'll be watching "Blazing Saddles", (a Mel Brooks film), after that. What a hilarious movie this is!!!
I hope you all are having the best time of yawls year today!!! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good high, ....... I mean, night! ~~~~ lol!

Preparing my fresh peaches for the cobbler.
After the cobbler came out of the oven all piping hot and just waiting on vanilla ice cream.
Me rolling out the fresh dough then brushing on melted sweet cream butter, sugar and cinnamon then rolling each slice up into rolls.

So, if I don't go and eat that free meal tonight down at the Banquet, I'll at least have great desserts to munch on!!!
Pink Himalayan salt ~~~ A few days ago I tried out this new organic food store called "Co-Op Natural Foods" and found this wonderful pink Himalayan salt. It has 63 additional minerals in this 300 million year old salt from natural potassium to naturally occurring iodine. It was $6.39 for a 3.5 ounce bottle, but it was so well worth it!
This salt has sort of a unique taste to it; being it's sort of sweet in a way.
So, if anyone ever comes across this salt, please splurge a bit and give it a shot. You'll not be disappointed!
The brand is called "Aloha Bay" and come in a mini-mill grinder bottle for grinding the course salt into a finer texture. Don't buy the Martha Stewart brand because hers isn't authentic Himalayan pink salt, even though it is pink.

India textbook says meat-eaters lie and commit sex crimes
Quote:
Meat-eaters "easily cheat, lie, forget promises and commit sex crimes", according to a controversial school textbook available in India.
New Healthway, a book on hygiene and health aimed at 11 and 12 year-olds, is printed by one of India's leading publishers.
Academics have urged the government to exercise greater control.
But the authorities say schools should monitor content as they are responsible for the choice of textbooks.
"This is poisonous for children," Janaki Rajan of the Faculty of Education at Jamia Millia University in Delhi told the BBC.
"The government has the power to take action, but they are washing their hands of it," she said.
It is not known which Indian schools have bought the book for their students, but correspondents say what is worrying is that such a book is available to students.
"The strongest argument that meat is not essential food is the fact that the Creator of this Universe did not include meat in the original diet for Adam and Eve. He gave them fruits, nuts and vegetables," reads a chapter entitled Do We Need Flesh Food?
The chapter details the "benefits" of a vegetarian diet and goes on to list "some of the characteristics" found among non-vegetarians.
"They easily cheat, tell lies, forget promises, they are dishonest and tell bad words, steal, fight and turn to violence and commit sex crimes," it says.
The chapter, full of factual inaccuracies, refers to Eskimos (Inuit) as "lazy, sluggish and short-lived", because they live on "a diet largely of meat".
It adds: "The Arabs who helped in constructing the Suez Canal lived on wheat and dates and were superior to the beef-fed Englishmen engaged in the same work."
The publishers, S Chand, did not respond to the BBC's requests for a comment.
BBC News - India textbook says meat-eaters lie and commit sex crimes
So, do the bacon eaters want to get together and start a class representative action to sue the publishers arse off?
