What sorta punishment am I looking at? Im not even sure If Iv been caught but basically,
I had a wrap with around a gram of coke in it, Stupidly the wrap had my name address and phone number on it (Only thing I could find that I could use)
I threw it in a bin when the police were behind me , and they stopped me and searched the bin ... If they had found anything would they have said to me on the spot or taken it without saying anything?
I saw them back near the bin (Weird timing) And they accused me of going to try and get it back (Which I actually wasnt) They searched the bin again and pulled out a couple of syringes out of the bin and then asked me if I injected Which I dont , and I showed them my arms to prove this.
I just basically want to know if Im lookin at any punishment here, or if Iv been really really lucky.
Im tellin ya if this is just a close call , its certainly taught me a fucking lesson!12

UK : East : Suffolk’s "Saga Louts" revealed.. MORE than two dozen Suffolk āSaga loutsā aged 70 and upwards were charged with crimes last year, police have revealed.
The pensioners, whose ages range from 70 to 82, faced a raft of accusations including sex crimes, assaults and driving while drunk.
A total of 32 OAPs who had passed their 70th birthdays were arrested and subsequently appeared in court during 2008, according to Suffolk Constabulary figures.

G20 Police Brutality Update Thread I think it's important we don't lose the momentum and anger which was created after the initial events. This should remain in the spotlight because although the incidents were not unusual, they were of such a large-scale and were widely reported in the mainstream media, thus making them a possible catalyst for actual change and progression.
I'll have a search in a few minutes - basically any updates anybody hears about or even any interesting material relating to police handling, get it posted!123
Breaking News Just found this documentory (quite short) on you tube described as;
'Breaking News' is a short film, describing the effects and method of police 'media managing' of the news. To minimise the effect people can have by action or protest.

P2 Breaking News Part 2
It really is quite scary just how much the police seem to be abusing their powers. The UK is becoming a more scary place to live the older I get it really is. The films really good and very intelligently put together, if you could get something like this on mainstream media I find it hard to imagine that there would not be a massive backlash against the methods used here by the police.
Safe and Sound… The attachment is the Metropolitan Police Service "Safe and Sound" leaflet which is the official instructions to all event promoters in the London area
However, forces as far away as Suffolk also "encourage" venue owners to comply to this, the moment anyone tries to put on a dance music events...
Interesting how you they can get away with calling CO14 the "Clubs and Vice" unit - but if Trident was called the "Blacks and Crime" unit I think there would be a massive outcry...

Is It Illegal to Record Somebody’s Voice Without Their Consent? I recorded a meeting earlier because I knew the people concerned were trying to lie thier way out of a situation, one happened to be an ex copper.
They said what I know they deny when later asked so it served its purpose. Hopefully it wont come to using the tape to back me up and the facts will stand for them selves when their supperiors get onto them.
But was it illegal to record the interview? I didn't tell them btw
UK : LDN : G20 Protest Policing (split from Tolerance of Raves Thread) I don't know if it will make any difference -
I mean I understand this is on a more inter / national scale but 'we' seem to be viewed as a collective and not necessarily a good one (and from some peoples behaviour at parties I can imagine at times quite rightly :you_crazy) but it just filters down to the more local level, and I can imagine some police not being happy at things like having their leave canceled this week, being drafted from 'non london forces' for things like this and remembering it in the summer .......:
Quote:
The most expensive police operation in British history has been launched to secure the G20 summit in London, The Daily Telegraph can disclose, at an estimated cost of up to Ā£8 million
Quote:
Groups active in the late 1990s were re-emerging and forming new alliances to protest at the meeting, he said.
The operation will involve thousands of officers and cost an estimated Ā£7.2m.
Quote:
Then on Saturday, that that "Scotland Yard have issued a stark warning of violent disorder in the City of London on the eve of the G20 summit,
with the police stretched to their limit in the middle of an extraordinary week of public protest". Using words such as 'militants', 'hardcore' and a repetition of 'violence'
the article and statement stand to justify the deployment of "2,500 uniformed police, many equipped with riot gear" to deal with "1,000 anti-capitalist demonstrators." Oh.. and it's going to cost Ā£10m to 'protect' the Bank of England. The article ends with a para about the Economist report "Britain is not immune to the danger of serious social unrest and public disorder as a result of the economic crisis."
Quote:
Whether you have read Naomi Klein's 'The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism' or not,
you should be wondering at this point what the terrorism laws and police are being used to protect from the protesters: the UK people, or the symbols of a flawed system of free market liberalism which now risks global of public rejection? You should also be paying close attention to the language used to justify any police action, from either the police themselves, the media or those sympathetic to the concerns of the city. In this respect a quick comparison is helpful...

UK : East : Two Mini Raves in Suffolk its a shame the building in Haughley got rinsed and smashed up, if people were more discreet and sensible it could probably have made a good squat for someone...
POLICE are warning landlords to be on their guard after break-ins led to an illegal rave and a party being held in mid Suffolk.
At around 8.45pm on Friday police received reports of a burglary at a barn in Wetherden Road, Great Ashfield. Around 50 people were found to be attending an illegal rave there, which officers closed down. The building was then secured.
A 17-year-old man from Haverhill was reported for consideration of prosecution for possession of cannabis and a 17-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds was given a fixed penalty notice for disorder.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said: āAn 18-year-old man from Haverhill also received a warning for possession of cannabis. A 24-year-old man from King's Lynn was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has been released on police bail, to return to Bury Police Station on March 23.
āA 17-year-old man was given a warning for possession of cannabis. A 21-year-old male from Fressingfield received a warning for possession of cannabis.ā
At around 5.20am on Saturday police also received reports of a burglary at an empty building on Station Road in Haughley.
Around 40 people were inside, claiming to be holding a party. Officers contained the building and the people left in the morning, but the property was extensively damaged inside.
The Justice System Has NO Justice about 6 months ago a friend of mine had just finished work and was started on by a guy who was trashed. the cctv was following him around town because the other person who had been out drinking with him had already been arrested and the one left wandering around was pissing everyone off. he was on camera trying to get into a pub and the doormen turned him away.
it's on camera that as soon as he walked away he walked up to my friend and started on him verbally and tried to take his phone
my friend is one of the most chilled out people you would ever meet and spends about half his life doing mountain rescue, he works as a residential social worker in a young offenders unit and is father to 2 twins.
so this drunk stranger started a fight with him and my friend and tipped him over a low wall. the bloke landed on his head and fractured his skull
my friend was duly arrested and pleaded guilty to GBH
now bear in mind he didn't start the fight, has made a positive contribution to society for the last 12 years through his choice of career, has no previous, and has a family that are financially and emotionally dependant on him
he asked (through his barrister) to receive an indeterminate suspended sentence + 2 year curfew + community work + a fine
he got a 12 month custodial sentence
WHAT THE FUCK?
the judge is punishing his children more than anyone by denying them a father and a stable income
AND wasting vast sums of public money...
i am so fucking angry right now12
IN : Bangalore Barn Party Busted – Entire Rave Gets Nicked! As the old guard on the train said "Oh dearie dearie me!"
TBH this sort of stuff makes our cops look like fluffy kittens in comparison - the indian cops arrested the entire rave and subjected them to mandatory drug tests...
Quote:
Bangalore: In an early morning operation on Sunday, a farmhouse at Tavarakere near here was raided by the police on suspicion that a rave party was on and 101 people, including 39 foreign nationals, were arrested. A huge quantity of liquor and over 40 vehicles, besides musical instruments, cash and cellphones were seized.
The party was organised at a farmhouse in Chunchanakuppe village, about 6 km from Tavarakere. Those arrested by the Ramanagara police included citizens of France, Germany, Iran, Sweden, Israel, Tanzania, Bhutan and other countries, who are aged between 25 and 30. A majority of the foreign nationals are students.
āBased on information, we raided the farmhouse around 4 a.m. and arrested 101 people, including 29 women, who were partying,ā Ramanagara Deputy Superintendent of Police D. Devaraj told The Hindu. āThough we have not seized drugs from the spot, the arrested were subjected to medical examination at the Government Hospital in Magadi,ā he added.
According to him, Mohammad Adam (21) of Sindhanur in Raichur district and a BBM student at a college in Kammanahalli here had organised the party. āWe are interrogating Adam. Invitation to the party had been sent through short message services and websites. A sum of Rs. 1,500 was collected from each participant as entry fee,ā Mr. Devaraj said.
āA well-known disc jockey from Delhi, believed to be popular in the party scene there, is among those arrested. The DJ has shared the stage with internationally renowned personalities and provided music in many parties in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkota,ā Mr. Devaraj said.
As the news of the party being busted by the police spread, a large number of people gathered at the farmhouse to get a glimpse of those arrested. Medical examination of the arrested was completed by Sunday evening and they were remanded in judicial custody. The farm owner is being questioned.
Another officer said that since liquor was being served without a licence, a case had been booked under the Excise Act against the participants and organisers. The arrested would be charged with relevant sections of the Excise Act, the officer said.
Meanwhile, relatives of the farmhouse owner said that they were not aware of the party activities.
āSome people from Bangalore contacted the owner and requested him to allow them to host a birthday party at his farmhouse, following which the party was allowed at the farm. The party organisers cheated us,ā a family member said.
This is the second incident near Tavarakere where an illegal party has been raided. On August 9, 2008, Kannada activists raided a dhaba where a rave party was held, following which, 35 people were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

UK : SE : Thames Valley Police Arrest and Caution Hall Party Organiser from TVP press office..
Monday 09 March 2009, 9:10am
Police are sending a warning to any party organisers who book a venue in Milton Keynes for a private function and then use the venue for a flash mob or rave.
On Saturday 28 February, what was believed to be a family birthday party was booked at the Servant King Church, on Dulverton Frive in Furzton. At 8pm, police and a fire safety officer were called to the event. Upon arrival, it was apparent there were more than 100 young people outside the community hall and approximately 300 inside, most of them intoxicated.
The licence for the hall states it is not permitted to hold more than 200 people, so there was clearly a health and safety issue.
It became clear that the organiser had not booked the venue for a family birthday; they had in fact booked the venue for a rave for 16 to 18 year olds. This event was advertised on Facebook and tickets were sold for Ā£10 each.
Due to the safety considerations, the decision was made to stop the rave and close the hall. It was also noted there had been damage to the outside fence, and both the male and female toilets. A considerable number of cans and bottles littered the area. A large amount of alcohol was confiscated from underage drinkers by the police.
The organiser of the event, an 18-year-man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of fraud (obtaining a service by deception). He was later released with a caution and given advice by the police on how to organise parties safely and legally in the future. The offender also agreed to contact the community centre and offer to pay for the damage caused during the evening.
Neighbourhood officer, PC Steven OāNeill, said: āThe police intend to deal robustly with such gatherings. This should be a warning to anyone who considers organising an event of this nature by booking a venue under false pretences that they will be arrested and could face a criminal record and conviction.
āEvents such as this which are not organised legally and safely can cause anti-social behaviour and can put peopleās lives at risk. This will not be tolerated.
āThe police are working with community centres and other venues to give them guidance and advice to ensure they do not become a victim or this type of incident in the future.ā

Section 76 of the Counter Terrorism Act Will Make It An Offence to Photograph Police Stop Police Anonymity...
āThe British Police are the best in the world, I don't believe one of these stories I've heardā [Tom Robinson, āGlad to be Gayā]
The British Police are becoming less and less accountable for their actions.
Once upon a time all police officers were readily identifiable by the number on their epaulets, which gave anyone with a grievance some way to report the actions of an individual officer. In recent years however this has changed. As police officers don the oppressive āriotā gear they so cherish, they remove their numbers and mask their faces with balaclavas making themselves totally unrecognisable. This gives any victims of police assault or other injustice, no way to pursue legal action against the perpetrators.
Being a member of the police force in no way makes an individual a saint or even a law abider, so what we have in essence is a gang of potentially violent thugs with no identifiable markings whatsoever.
Once you have a gang with a certain amount of anonymity, rules no longer apply, as the actions of the gang take precedence over the actions of the individual. This means members of the gang are apt to behave in a manner they may normally consider inappropriate because the onus for appropriate behaviour is no longer on them as an individual but instead on the gang as a whole. An example of this can be seen clearly when observing the actions football hooligans, many of whom have respectable lifestyles away from football violence.
āA belligerent state permits itself every such misdeed, every such act of violence, as would disgrace the individual.ā [Sigmund Freud]
The Police and Section 76 of the Counter Terrorism Act 2008
If you do a quick search on Google Images or YouTube for āPolice Violenceā you will quickly come across many images and videos showing the violent actions of the police in many ācampaignsā throughout the last century, battling against pickets trying to protect their livelihoods during the minersā strike in 1984, attacking new age travellers and destroying their homes in the āBattle of the Beanfieldā in 1985, attacking protestors in Trafalgar Square in 1990 during the Poll Tax demonstrationā¦ the list goes on. It is true to say that there were indeed protagonists on the āother sideā fighting against the police and leading that side into its own gang mentality. This is the very nature of the beast. In my experience however it has always seemed to be the police who first instigate the trouble and it has been proved on more than one occasion that plain clothed officers have been placed within the crowd to stir up trouble and give the police an excuse to move in.
"And no they didn't need a reason; itās what your votes condone." [The Levellers, 'Battle of the Beanfield']
These images and videos however, will become a thing of the past as of today (16/02/2009) as a new piece of legislation comes in to force. Section 76 of the Counter Terrorism Act will make it an offence to take a photograph of, or film a police officer āwhich is of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorismā [http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts2008/ukpga_20080028_en_9]. This wording is so far open to abuse it would be laughable if it wasnāt such a complete denial of our civil liberties.
This act will leave the door open for the police to behave in whatever manner they see fit and it will be kept hidden from anyone who wasnāt there to witness it firsthand. āAt present, there is no internationally agreed definition of terrorismā URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism"Error[/URL] however most agree that it involves campaigning for the advancement of a political/religious view or agenda. It is easy to see how this can be used against us as political activists.
The following video demonstrates how the police will try and bend the law to their own will, as this was made before this act came into existence and they can be clearly seen attempting to intimidate film maker Darren Pollard insisting he was breaking a law that didnāt even exist.
YouTube - Common Law / Civil Law Jurisdictions
Bizarrely enough Wikipedia actually defines Terrorism as āthe systematic use of terror (imposing fear), especially as a means of coercion.ā This to me sounds exactly like the behaviour of the police in the incidences mentioned above.
For full text of this section of the Act follow this link
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts2008/uk ... 80028_en_9
I urge everyone to commit acts of civil disobedience (terrorism?) in order to demonstrate how unjust this law is. Please photograph the police at every opportunity you get and post the photos to this group. They make no bones about photographing you as a āpreventative measureā so they know who you are. But by the same token we need to know who they are so we can prevent them from abusing us.
Also print out the āStop and Searchā card that has been prepared by Mark Thomas for The Guardian newspaper. This can be found in our photo gallery. Carry it with you at all times.
In the past the police were thought to be there to help and protect us. This is no longer true. Their primary aim now is to punish and repress. There are no āBobbiesā on the beat walking round our estates protecting us and our homes. Children end up dead and the perpetrators are then locked away, surely the remit of our police force should be to protect our children in the first place rather than punish those who harm them after the fact.
