Android multi languages took me a while to work out how to do this (as Blackberries and some other phones seem to just recognise all European languages automatically, and UK extended gets you most EU languages ), and it was annoying to try and type anything in a different language to find it autocorrected to a random English word.
Though I managed at one point to accidentally remove English from my second hand HTC desire in Danish (leaving DK, DE, NL and FR) to the point I ended up using foderbrædt as a bluetooth name... (this also confused the googlebots in spite of GPS being activated on the phone - it normally says "Ipswich")

Smartphones – a good or a bad thing? http://www.businessweek.com/technology/the-smartphone-as-our-new-cigarette-08052011.html
I have to own up and say I find the smart phone I have addictive and sometimes a concerted effort is required to leave it turned off. Fortunately it can be programmed to turn itself off and on automatically so I make use of that function.
Its such an excellent gadget though - mobile access to websites can be an excellent way to kill waiting times. How many of you use a mobile to access social networking sites?

Sony Xperia J: utter rubbish I bought an Xperia J about 3-4 weeks ago because I thought to myself, 'sony walkman is pretty good, and in a phone thats 2 bird's with one stone'. How wrong was I! The walkman feature is seriously flawed, I have about 2gb of music on it (here) and if I want to listen to music I can't. Why? Because it randomly decides to shut down the walkman and go to the root menu of the walkman, plus in doing so it undo's all of the work I do to catalogue my music correctly.
I have messaged Sony and they have said, to put it bluntly, the don't give a fuck. I can't take the handset back as O2 have bullshit return policies.
What is there I can do? Is it the app cache? Faulty OS? Faulty handset? Or corrupt music files?
Has anyone else had this or similar issues? If so how did you resolve them, if indeed they were resolved.

KSS UK Techno & Freetekno - Automatic remotely updated precise party
information
This is the official App for KSS - UK Techno & Freetekno Sound System.
Why have an app?
With technology changing all the time it was about time that party lines (info lines) moved with the
times. We've all had the situation where we can't understand the bloke on the end of the phone or
the information is wildly out of date. As an underground first this is 21st century solution to free
parties and techno events. We deliver the information to you - live and pin point accurate.
What the app does:
- Latest Event Flyer - updated and downloadable to share
- Event Location, remotely updated (connects to Navigation and google maps)
- Ability to send event location to non-Android users by SMS
- Infolines, oldskool backup if you need it, remotely updated so always accurate
- KSS Links, to our Facebook, Homepage, MP3 Store and to email us
Sorry due to emulator issues with connecting to web databases I can not screenshot the best part of
the application - the automatic event / party location part. However it is full functional and i'd
suggest downloading the app and trying it out.
Other info:
Our next event is in France and this app will be operational with direct location of that event
released remotely to the event location prior to the start of the event.
This really is the future of underground party information.
If you have any questions, bug reports etc.. please email us

Four Things You Probably Don’t Know About Your Mobile Phone There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:
1. Emergencies:
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
2. Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to
drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor's Note:
'It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!'
3. Hidden Battery Power:
Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.
4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone:
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.12
is this apps a virus ? Browsing and looking for cool stuff on the Internet is a benefit that we all have access to. As a matter of fact, there are limitless applications which you can download for free that will make your browsing and computer usage an easier activity to do. However, most of the time, these apps can be downloaded one at a time. Even if you wanted to download similar apps, you would need to do so individually. What if there was an application which you could use that contained a lot of what you are looking for online?
[username], What is your ringtone? On your mobile-talk-box. Mine is an Oceanlab tune called Come Home, I like to change it every week to keep thing fresh.
How about you [username]? :love:1234
words for friends (game ap) Has anybody played it?
Its pretty much online scrabble. You play with friends or randomers.
I started of pretty crap but now Im addicted, playing about 7 different games.
You take it in turns with moves whenever you feel like it so instead of a long continuous game you can play whenever you have time.
If anyones playing it let me know and we can swap usernames :)
