Have you ever experienced this? while taking a truck load of v.strong clean acid. closing your eyes and haveing visions of your ancestors of all different races coming towards you and giving you things and touching you and generally wishing you well. Was the most surreal experience ive ever had. Saw american indians, asian, white, arabic, people swear i saw other things from different dimensions all coming up and touching my arms and body on the left and right of me. ive read about ego death it was almost like a dmt trip. Shut my eyes and had sort of horrible twisting distorted strange visions, then realsied the clourfull patters running through all these images then sort of flashed through that patterend viel to wear the nice people came up wishing me well and generally offering help and kindness. Was so strange. Told my mate who i was tripping with and he experienced exactly the same thing. This is before id told him what id experienced. Was ace. Felt like the spirit world or something all the people i met seemed to already know me and be saying they'd see me again when we died, was so strange swear i saw my own death and had all these people coming up telling me it was okay and not to worry. Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything like that before. Its seemed to get rid of a load of issues that i had in my head. proper spiritual trip. Realised that when your tripping looking at stuff with your eyes open is only half the fun and all the patterns and stuff is just distracting you from whats really important.
Also let my eyes go out of focus and looked at the space between my hands and could see patterens and geometric designs in the air, which was sort of maleable, was so mad its realy hard to describe... anyway.. thoughts?

In your face Hubbard! Scientology 'faces French trial'
France keeps Scientology sites under surveillance The Church of Scientology in France will be tried in court for "organised fraud", according to legal sources.
The lawyer for one of the plaintiffs behind the case told the BBC that if convicted the controversial Church could be banned.
The Church has faced stiff opposition in France as well as Germany, where it has been declared unconstitutional.
The French branch of the Church of Scientology said it had been cleared of "numerous" similar charges.
It said such charges should not be brought to court again.
This case stems from claims by a woman who said she was approached by Scientologists in a Paris street in 1998 and offered a free personality test.
She says she ended up handing over more than 20,000 euros (£16,000) for courses, books, illegally prescribed drugs and an "electrometer" supposed to measure fluctuations in her mental state.
Olivier Morice, a lawyer for the woman and for one other plaintiff in the case, says the case could be brought before the court by the end of the year or in early 2009.

Mormons
Does anyone else get accosted by Mormons?
I've tried being nice, I've tried being rude, and I've even tried talking to them and putting my point across.
They even wanted to visit me at home and to talk about the scriptures - I said no of course and I would probably be burnt at the stake for my own beliefs and sexuality.
Isn't there some type of Holy Water or crucifix I can show at them to get rid of them?
Anyone?

Does reality REALLY exist? Right here goes...
A little while ago I was in a bad mood, quite stressed out, couldn't find anything else so I ended up digging up some old Salvia Divinorum and some old CO2 chargers and went for it. This is what happened...
I smoked about three pipes of Salvia so I was good and trippin then did a laughing gas balloon. The lights started to go out and I blissed out for (either an eternity or a split second, cant be sure which?). I had some very interesting thoughts about preception and the possibility that my mind really can sort out any physical problems with my body (I had some pain in my back that when I concentrated on it, clicked and the pain dissapeared). As I started to come round it was as if the layers of reality were peeling away (:you_crazy) and I had to choose which reality I was going to stop in.
Now when I try to explain this in English it gets a bit tricky, but let me give it a try...
When I opened my eyes I was sitting in my living room and the missus was lying on the floor (nothing unusual yet), but I just wasn't too sure if I was actually awake yet (which reality had I stopped at and was it the REAL reality?).There was a real possibility that I was actually still comatose on the sofa, I could have been dead or I could have been mad and dribbling while my girlfriend tried to wake me up, but in MY mind I was awake (a classic coma story, possibly straight out of "Life on Mars").
My immediate reaction was to ask my girlfriend to wake me up, she looked confused (who wouldn't if somebody looked you in the eyes and asked you to wake them up?), but tried her best to accomodate her tripped out boyfriend.
Now my logic said that if I asked her if I was awake, she is BOUND to say I am awake, just to keep me in my coma/dream world, so I had to get her to physically wake me up or I just wouldn't believe it.
I still wasn't convinced so I said she had to try harder, and REALLY wake me up. She gently slapped me about the face and said WAKE UP!!
Eventually, after several HUGE thoughts and some interesting conversation I asked my girlfriend if she had woken me up or if I had asked her to wake me up. Only when she said that I had asked her, did I believe that I had been awake in the first place and that reality DID actually REALLY exist as an external phenomenon rather than just an internal set of sensations.
Looking back on it now it makes me laugh really - Salvia is a very strong drug and shouldn't be mixed unless you are with somebody you trust implicitly. I am fairly sure reality does exist, but at the end of the day all I have to work with is a set of human senses and a human brain, neither of which actually confirm the existance of a REAL reality or work in a way that will allow me to understand the WHOLE of reality without my human dogmas and limits.
Like I say, I am now pretty sure reality exists, but does it REALLY exist?
PS. My back pain returned as the drugs wore off :cry:12…45
Have you ever felt guilt?!?! Yeah, you ask me "what the fuck do u mean?!"
Well, it's kind of funny but I've never had this feeling...
I've done bad thinks but i suppose I didn't gave a fuck about it even when i said "i'm sorry"!
I've never felt guilt, am I crazy?!
:you_crazy
Anyone else feel this way?1234
Buddhism Ive recently started going to my local Buddhist centre its been about 2months now and im finding it really interesting. Before i went to this i was quite against organised religion as i viewed it as a crutch that weak people used to get through life cause they wernt strong enought to make their own decisions or make their own way in life, but i think Buddhism is different. Also we did some chanting the other day, which i was initially very skeptical about, what with my possibly narrow minded view of hare krishnas, but it was actually really moving stuff (Green Tara's mantra i think it was called...). Just wondering if anybodys got any expereinces they want to share or tips or stuff i should read etc12
Scientology and Me – Panorama BBC I couldnt find another thread on this so if there is please merge me :)
Did anyone watch Panorama ?
You can watch it here : http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-126281853779690652
Ive just watched the Scientology side of the story : http://www.bbcpanorama-exposed.org/watch-the-video-documentary.php
Its going to be pretty interesting watching the two heavy weights battle it out. I didnt quite realise how sinister the Scientologists were until i saw both documentaries. They proper hounded the BBC reporter and im not suprised he blew up. Its interesting to note that the scientologists blatently lied about why he blew up before showing the footage.
"Sweeny was asked why he kept making accusations of brainwashing. His reaction was unexpected to say the least".
This is untrue. The part where he blew up was over Tommy insisting he knew all that was said in a previous interview he turned up half way through.
Messy, messy situation. But interesting all the same :)
Religion and Raves – Compatible?
Hi l've edited this post as l am bored and have run out of things to say, and besides l think this post was unclear and too full-on-sounding. Anyway, l reckon the Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam do not allow ppl to become ravers in the sense of going to modern day raves. For example, those religions don't let boys and girls get together in such atmospheres. [e.g. St. Paul saying that a wife should always walk behind her hubby [citation needed] and that women should wear veils (1 Corinthians 11:13-16). And Sharia Law in Islam requires a woman to be veiled. Zoroastrianism has similar laws, and l would imagine Buddhism and Hinduism and Mormonism etc etc do too, so wouldn't hard core partying and stuff like that contradict the principles of modesty in apparel etc.].
Religions such as these are ok, but left at the door.
Not because they are equally frowned upon, but because they are simply incompatible with being a hippy. They may have compatible spiritual aspects, and that's why it seems ok for Christians (for example) to go to raves these days, because most Christians only adhere to the spiritual side of the religion. However, the actual Law of the religions, which is fundemental to them, makes the Abrahamic religions incompatible with going to raves.
Sure can talk about God or atheism or fishing or whatever, when you're on E and raving, but religion = Law, not any simple, raw belief in God(s).
Not sure how Judaism stands on the topic, but l'm sure it would be against it too, probably more so if the Orthodoxy is to be considered.
I would hope the hippy / religionist / atheist / deist / anyone else etc etc. would be sincere & chivalrous, in other words, show consistency, not mixing things up and being unrealistic.
(that applies to religious ppl and ravers, as there seems to be tension on both sides)
Footnote:
It's not just [Abrahamic] religions. The same goes for any pair of contradictory systems. For example, being a strict follower of the philosophers Nietzsche and Schoppenhauer and being a hippy at the same time:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misogyny
Arthur Schopenhauer is famous for his essay "On Women" (Über die Weiber), in which he expressed his opposition to what he called "Teutonico-Christian stupidity" on female affairs. He claimed that "woman is by nature meant to obey." The essay does give two compliments however: that "women are decidedly more sober in their judgment than [men] are" and are more sympathetic to the suffering of others. However, the latter was discounted as weakness rather than humanitarian virtue.
Nietzsche is known for arguing that every higher form of civilization implied stricter controls on women [Beyond Good and Evil, 7:238]; he frequently insulted women, but is best known for phrases such as "Women are less than shallow," and "Are you going to women? Do not forget the whip!" Nietzche's reputation as a misogynist is disputed by some, pointing out that he also made unflattering statements about men.
To finish orf, l hope that a raver/hippy might take on a greater degree of ambivalence to worldly contentions l guess, but being critical of artistic matters is still "cool" as that is higher up than laws and fixed behaviour and the vicissitudes of life.
