Near Death Experience Has anyone ever had one?
This guy has and he describes it in a very eloquent way.

Nature versus nurture which do you think influences us more to become the people we are today; nature or nurture?
i always used to believe entirely on nature; i was convinced that i am the person i am due to genetic make-up and that i was meant to have the morals i have and the emotions i experience.
i'm still at a young age, but now i find that i realise more and more how easily influenced i am.
when i was a small child we used to go on regular holidays to the lake district with another family we were close friends with. a couple of summers back we went on a reunion holiday with this family and there was loads of chat about our old holidays and i found that i had no recollection of practically everything we did. this made me realise how unbelievably terrible my memory is of the early years of my life - so how am i supposed to know what i was told and taught about the ways of life at an early age?
i find it a little exhilarating to think that my experiences make me into who i am, and i like the feeling of the unknown of what is to become of who i am... but i also find it unnerving, not to feel like i have total control of who i am, and that there may be no 'fate' to me...
so what do you think, nature or nurture?
Astrology I'm not talking about the day to day "you're going to find luck behind a red door" horoscopes.
I mean the link between star signs and personalitys, compatability.
All that side of it.
Share your thoughts??
Do you think it's all abit wank or not?
I'm a libra =]
Lost faith Almost eight years ago, I lost my faith in God. My grandmother [whom I lived with until her death], was dying and I prayed every night for nearly twenty minutes, just begging God, "Please, let her get through this; I don't know what I'd do without her..."
I know that in prayer, God doesn't always grant them, it just left a bad taste in my mouth.
So, after eight years, I've decided it was time to try and find a religion [not Christianity].

'Muhammad' teddy teacher arrested
A British schoolteacher has been arrested in Sudan accused of insulting Islam's Prophet, after she allowed her pupils to name a teddy bear Muhammad. Colleagues of Gillian Gibbons, 54, from Liverpool, said she made an "innocent mistake" by letting the six and seven-year-olds choose the name.
Ms Gibbons was arrested after several parents made complaints.
The BBC has learned the charge could lead to six months in jail, 40 lashes or a fine.

ley line map i dont suppose anyone knows where i could find a map of ley lines - either on the net or books or something, more specifically a map of the uk, the only ones ive been able to find on the net are quite basic and just show a buch of lines heading to glastonbury... but then my googleing skills are pretty naff really... im looking for quite a detailed one and possibly one tracing negative ley lines... if theyve been able to map those that is.
im just interested to learn a bit more about them and i had someone tell me that a negative line runs through my area so i wanted to check out if this was true or not and see if i can make any connection with odd stuff going on at the moment...
Religions unite for walk of faith
Local News Oxfordshire wrote:
Hundreds of Christians, Jews and Muslims joined together in Oxford for a walk promoting peace. It was the fourth friendship walk held in the city and started at the Oxford Jewish Centre, in Richmond Road.
The group walked on to the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, High Street, and finished at the Central Oxford Mosque in Manzil Way. The Rev Charlotte Bannister-Parker, a curate at the University Church, was one of the founders of the walk, which began in 2003 on the eve of the transfer of power in Iraq.
She said: "Because it was so successful we have had it every year since.
"Each year it has grown and each year the commitment has been unbelievable and our patrons now include the Bishop of Dorchester, Rabbi Norman Solomon and the Imam from the Central Mosque.
"The essence is to show people that we can live together in our communities and pray for peace and honour each other's differences."
Prayers were held at each location and refreshments were served at the mosque.
Thats good... it's nice to see religions accepting each other.... raaa
