How Selfish are we all Really? Ok. So again, like my other topic, this has something that has been at the forefront of my mind for most of my adult life. I spend alot of time deep in my own thoughts, which is usually where these ideas come from hehe.
Selfishness. Something we all are taught is that it's a bad characteristic. Selfishness, not helping your fellow friends, family and just generally other human beings. Obviously we are all selfish at some points. Plenty of us could point out day to day things where they might have been able to choose a more selfless option.
The more you start to delve into your own self conciousness the more you start to realise just how "pre pathed" we are. I think we delude ourselves to thinking we have a myriad of choices throughout our lives, when really we are directed by basic instincts. More so than just sex, love, jealousy etc. If you look to the more basic animals on the planet, we practice the same, yet more complex behavioural patterns. What is usually described as the purpose of life, is to live on. Successfully as possible as to ensure the longevity of our genes. Simple. Of course on a different subject you can decide what meaning we give life, but that's a different topic.
In modern life we make choices all the time. I have been thinking lately how often these choices ultimately benefit us. Even when sometimes on more active layer of conciousness, they seem to be helping others.
A quick example could be giving a homeless person some money. So immediately you feel good. And you automatically associate the reason for this happiness being that you have made someone else happy. However, is this happiness you're feeling not a benefit to yourself? Directly concluding, you have done something that has made you happy. And consciously justified this happiness.
So that's a simple example. If you go a little deeper into possible situations, though... Everyone is plagued by insecurities. It's normal; a product of our complicated emotions. Alot of these can cause people to make choices in their day to day lives to comfort these insecurities. For example, a person who lacks confidence in social aspects and peer acceptance. They may be overly nice to their friends. Consciously telling themselves they are just a good person. Whereas really, they are being comforted by the result of their actions.
So far this may just seem extremely cynical. However I disagree. I think we often overestimate the complexity of our psyche. Afterall, emotions are just an extension of instinct. Over the years the basics have become more complex as as is the nature of evolution. It's no coincidence we feel happy when we're healthy, or have a particular discomfort to pain.
Overall, these emotions have direct relations with our ultimate goals. To live, spread, and adapt to anything to carry on being successful.
Now back to my original point. Selfishness. So if you assume the fact that all our actions are based on a necessity based on our instinctive needs, they why would be doing anything that puts ourself behind in any way? Every action we take can be rationalised and matched to the criteria of successful life.
Since my realisation of this over the last few weeks it has felt rather sad to be honest. It has made me wonder about how humans will carry on to develop. As our once basic instincts and emotions continue to intensify in complexity. And even more interesting, add the more common knowledge and acceptance of what our thoughts really mean. Look back 100 years ago, there was no such thing as psychology. Science of the mind? It was all magic and fairy tails whipped up between our ears constructed by god. Just knowing something makes a big difference to our development. Although I will say, ignorance most definitely would be bliss...12
What is The Astral Plane?
Here's a response to a good question:
The question from the reader:
What is the astral? Is it a part of the universal consciousness? An alternate dimension? The spirit world? The collective electro-magnetic energy of the earth? The unified subconscious of man? Heaven? Hell?
My response:
Well, this is a big question, and you're going to get different answers from every person that you ask due to their religious and cultural backgrounds. So my opinion is just that, an opinion!
I'm going to answer it based off your suggestion/question above: Heaven and hell are really just the astral plane, separated by vibrational frequencies. You can say earth is also "hell" because it's so low vibrationally, along with the lower astral realms, and the higher astral planes are "heaven" because they vibrate at a very fine rate and are quite gorgeous. But the astral has only 7 levels and then you start getting into the higher planes of existence (mental, buddhic, etc.) which is where the "collective unconscious" or "universal mind" might exist. Everyone uses different words for these planes of existence (heaven, hell, collective unconscious, etc.) Spirits live in the astral realm, and when you leave the astral realm to the higher realms, you are "consciousness" and have no vehicle like the physical body or astral form although you can elect to appear in one (Robert Monroe talked about how he would see a blaze of energy and that energy would tune itself down and appear as a human). You are simply Conscious energy at that point. All things are vibrations, whether light or sound, so the physical realm is just different vibrations (coarser) then the astral, the mental and so forth. We are here to learn and love, and as we do, our vibrations raise, which is when you can start to tap into the different planes of existence. The more I meditate and astral project, the wider my frequencies become which means that I can go to higher planes of existence. When I project, I can pick up on radio and tv frequencies, and can sometimes 'see' or 'hear' what some other people cannot. When you die, you migrate to the portion of the astral plane that you are in tune with vibrationally (hence the whole concept of "bad" people go to hell and "good" people go to heaven). If you saw the higher astral planes, you would know why it's confused for "heaven" for it is simply beyond words.
The astral realm is also known as the "emotional" realm because it reacts to our thoughts. Not only is it an astral counterpart to the physical world (so the astral counterpart of a chair would exist in the astral), but it is also what we "think" about so a lot of mental "debris" exists in the astral which is why everyone gets so confused while projecting. This is not all levels though. The higher levels don't seem to have the astral thought matter that the lower and mid levels do (I know, because I've seen them). People think that they are not astral projecting (despite the unmistakable separation process) because they see objects in the astral that do not necessarily exist in the physical, so they question this reality. The fact is, they ARE astral projecting, and the astral can seem quite jumbled at times. And we humans are not the only entities that exist in the astral as well... The astral is not just a play land for sleeping or projecting humans. It can be structured like physical life, where people go to classes, or even "work" on projects of their choice

What is Zodiac? India Astrologers for learning Vedic astrology, mainly consider the position of sun, moon, mars and all other planets and stars. These planets and stars affect a person’s life. Indian Astrologers can predict individual’s future events and can all tell the remedies to solve negative energy through these heavenly bodies.
Vedas is considered to be the first treatise of ancient Hindu philosophy, on its principals the study and predictions of Vedic astrology depends.
As per Vedic astrology there is an imaginary path in sky on approx 18 degrees arc around the earth in an east west direction. In this imaginary path group of stars are fixed.
In this imaginary path there are twenty seven star groups in the path which are familiar to Vedic astrology and Vedic scholars. These starry groups are called zodiac. These zodiacs help India Astrologers in structuring the position of planets and stars in sky.
Zodiac is on all sides of earth so it can be considered as 360 degrees, the 27 groups of stars are evenly placed in sky or on that imaginary path, hence each of them have a span of 360 degrees/27 = 13 degrees 20' arc.
Explanation Hey everyone. I've been gone for a while cuz I'm desperately trying to earn money, not bc you 'chased me away' But to be honest, I have said all there is to say.... y'all know where I stand as far as God - debating till I'm blue in the face will not make one whit of difference - the only way to 'prove' anyting is for the Holy Spirit to move and convince you. NOTHING I say will do that. You can call it a copout or being weak or whatever, but it's the truth. Debating whether or not God exists only flares up my anxiety - and that is DEFINITELY not God! I continue to pray for y'all, and hope that if you are ever in the straits I was in due to partying, you will call upon the Lord for His mercy and be saved - literally.
If I happen to slip and say something 'religious' - just say - ok she's the rebel who believes in God :weee:
I WILL discuss (as opposed to argue/debate) however! But pls keep in mind I am also trying to work contest puzzles, do mystery shopping, surveys etc at the same time! :love:12…45
