The Weather Is Awesome! This morning on my way into work i realised that we have been having some lovely weather,
Its that warm i have been riding my motorbike with a sunglasses and an open faced helmet (which i have to say is such an amazing feeling) , sitting outside in the beer garden, taking walks early in the morning. Oh and not to forget stomping to tunes in the sun.
i love this time of year and i am hoping for many more months of this weather!

EU : A particularly good weather monitoring website Found this via a link on a German radio amateurs website - some clever folk in Switzerland are collecting and processing weather data across the whole of Europe. There is a link for just about every country and info available in the local language as well as English and German.

2016-01-25 – a ouple of weatherfaxes from Blighty for some reason the MOD never publish the TX schedules (FFS weather is hardly top secret info) and worse they turn off the carrier signal on the transmitter (presumably to save electric) so you can't tell if the transmissions are finished for the day or there are more coming...
be aware for some reason the UK is placed at the RHS of the map rathter than in the middle with the rest of Europe.

EU : 2016-01-22 plenty of Weather this weekend in Northenr Europe I even managed to get a fax image a couple of days ago ( for Friday). I am not a meterology expert but from what I've read when you get the triangle and the aemiicrle bits pointing to your country that means you get all the weather at once (which might not be pleasant).
also a fair bit of wind forecast [edit: there are indeed some strongwind stormwarnings] (these messages are sill coming down the line though; if I'm still awake when they are done I'll post them as well
EU : 2015-05-18 : Achtung, Wetter there is a lot of Weather at the start of this week (it hopefully should improve by the end of it). At least I can work on the telephone exchanges (which had to be reconfigured at BT screwed up the routing on their analogue circuits) and test part of my current main project at home.
it would be unpleasant enough cycling in this weather; let alone getting up on the roof to put up a pager TX antenna (I'm also supposed to wait until the Ofcom license arrives before activating it anyway...)
DK / DE : more wind warnings Last weeks wind wasn't quite as strong in the end (although it was noticeably windier in England); this wind is coming from a tropical storm. Denmark appears to just about escape it.
BTW a "strong wind" is anything over Beaufort 6; these are the UK and DE definitions. They are near identical other than the mention of plastic bins being tipped over in Blighty; this does not seem to bother the Germans (maybe they have the sense not to leave them outside houses/in the street to start with).
