I was really happy to see him here but a bit worried as Malaysia isn't as free as the west and all internet is monitored (its not censored but everything is watched)
to give you an idea of how things roll there the SKMM (communications ministry) have been in 12 times to warn a local internet news site about their content - this would be like officers from Ofcom or IT-og-Telestyrelsen visiting google HQ in London or Copenhagen and telling them to remove content..
I would PM him or even telephone him but bear in mind it could bring things on top for me as my family are there and I could get refused entry to see my mum and relatives if things got on top
And I expect the British govt won't protect me as if the Malaysian government say I've been involved in a crime (like encouraging a "drug addict") they will accept their word.. a lot of cops (particularly metpol) envy Malaysia's strong government and policing, senior officers in metpol have told me that to my face when I was in a bit of trouble a few years back...
