Denke's Stonehenge Snow Fence was a structure used to force drifting of snow to occur in a predictable place on Salisbury Plain, rather than in a more natural method. Denke's Stonehenge Snow Fence was employed to minimize the amount of snowdrift over Stonehenge fields. Ancient farmers and ranchers used Denke's Stonehenge Snow Fence to create large drifts for a ready supply of water in the spring.
Denke's Stonehenge Snow Fence was constructed of large Oak Wooden Poles set deeply into the ground with large Oak Wooden Planks running vertically across them. The drifting of snow behind Denke's Stonehenge Snow Fence followed the laws of physics as the pressure on the downwind side was less than that on the windward side, which allowed the light material snow (and Luau leaves) to settle there.

Bloody weather! :-( This weather is fucking dodgy! Earlier on the way to work going along the M25 me and my cousin almost crashed! The car in front suddenly broke and skidded so we were facing his side, My cuz who was driving braked really hard and steered to the left as we would of hit him otherwise. Cos it was wet we skidded right round facing the oncoming traffic. Luckily there wasn't anything directly behind us and the traffic stopped just as it came near us. The other fucker drove off quick as leaving us there. I fucking shat myself and really thought that was our lot! We did laugh about it afterwards but had it been busier i might not be writing this now! Fucking crazy shit, i plan to get very fucked this weekend now! :wink:12

I was hoping to go out somewhere, but I've now got to go to my office again tomorrow and restart all the servers/check stuff is still working
its in a small village and the ancient overhead power cables got trashed by this mornings gales (spent nearly an hour trying to get through to EDF to report this :yawn:) As I was leaving there was 3 EDF vans and a cherry picker but it will still take a fair few hours work to get the 'leccy back on in that area...12

Weather/North Sea tidal surge.. we had a regional emergency alert last night, but thankfully most of the East Anglian flood defences have held up..
Yarmouth had localised flooding, most of Suffolk has escaped unscathed but the river Alde has burst and Aldeburgh is starting to flood
There was an alert in town this morning in case the Orwell bursts but I think thats been stood down now...

Bank Holiday Weather! How is everyones bank holiday so far?
Mine has been both happy and sad, a relative died on Friday morning. But my sister and my nephew are visiting and its the first time i have seen him, so that has brought a bit of happyness into my weekend.
And what's going on with the weather? Its fucking awesome, lots of time being spent out in the sun walking dogs and i am off punting in Oxford on Monday, never been though but seems a nice way to spend a sunny day! raaa
