The Weather Is Awesome! This morning on my way into work i realised that we have been having some lovely weather,
Its that warm i have been riding my motorbike with a sunglasses and an open faced helmet (which i have to say is such an amazing feeling) , sitting outside in the beer garden, taking walks early in the morning. Oh and not to forget stomping to tunes in the sun.
i love this time of year and i am hoping for many more months of this weather!
Roll on summer of 2007! raaa1234
Warm weather set to continue! Having some weather knowledge :groucho: the warm sunny weather is set to continue with temps maybe reaching 25oC next weekend in the south.

Enjoy those outdoor parties if you're having any in this glorious weather
hopefully I can become the resident weatherman
weather…. anyone else think that after a fairly warm winter (I only needed to wear gloves when cycling on about 2 or 3 occasions) we are going into a warm spring/summer this year (bit like 2002/03/04), without the cold spell of March/April in 2006?
on another note, are there any brainy people here who understand the significance of barometer readings?
I'm seeing variations of over 30 millibar in the space of a few days, and was wondering if this is normal or caused by climate alteration
I've always had a barometer on the wall of my room for about 4 years now, and don't recall seeing such changes until the last two years (is this because I've moved nearer the coast?)
Its Snowing! :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl :bounce_fl

Weather/Climate (split from biodiesel thread) I split from another thread about biodiesel on one of the "local" sound systems boards..
Particularly fashionable this month (with me, anyway!) is a new type of solar panel made in a thin, flexible sheet. In theory, it should be possible to make them for a lot less than current solar panels.
Of course, all this means, is that i havent found out what the catch is yet!:hopeless: Probably made out of diamonds, or somethin:groucho: [/quote]
if you mean the new non-silcon stuff the snag is at present limited life span of the materials used.

Check out the crazy weather worldwide, the Northern Hemisphere is totally all over the shop! The US is blaming El Nino, but thats just BS, its far too warm for 'just' El Nino.
we have got "spring" weather but with rain here in East Anglia, and extreme variations in air pressure, lots of wind/rainstorms etc..
Where is the snow Found this article..
(Drought in europe all summer)

And now,no snow :hopeless:
What's going on ?

Unseasonably warm conditions across Europe are being greeted with a mixture of disbelief and despair by those who normally rely on cold winters. James Cove and James Rodgers assess the winter weather.
JAMES COVE REPORTS FROM THE ALPS
The French Alps are uncharacteristically lacking in snow
Ski resorts across the European Alps are becoming increasingly worried as current bad snow conditions threaten the all important Christmas holiday period.
This autumn has been one of the worst on record with high temperatures and little snowfall.
Many resorts have had to postpone their openings and the main ski races have been cancelled because of a lack of snow.
With millions of skiers heading to the resorts over the next week there are concerns that the open runs will be very busy and people could be put off from booking again at Christmas and the New Year, costing the multi-million pound industry heavily in lost revenue, and threatening jobs.
Climate change
Many believe global warming is to blame for the lack of snow.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development warned that many low-level resorts could soon be unviable and predicted warmer temperatures in the future.
Ski operations around Europe have been using snow cannons
Already banks are refusing to offer loans to resorts under 1,500 metres as they fear for their future snow cover.
Germany is threatened the most, followed by some Austrian and Italian resorts.
However, the picture is not as bleak as some say, with the high resorts having good conditions on some runs.
I am in the Swiss resort of Verbier and the open runs have good snow and more are set to open this weekend helped by artificial snow.
"We have many new snow-making cannons across our slopes and this has helped greatly," Pierre-Yves Deleze told the BBC. "Some snow is forecast to fall next week and then everything should be OK. If not though, it will make us more nervous for Christmas."
Saw in the news the other night, that because of the warm winter, the rats can give birth 5 times instead of 4 times as they usually do :yakk: :yakk:
First snow The wind is howling outside :hopeless: It's cold and i'm freezing :hopeless:
And it has just started to snow :hopeless:

Perfect Weather! Wow these heavy rain showers and long sunny spells, not to mention the muggy damp nights are just perfect for an excellent crop of those little 'happy chappys'. Just hope the frost stays away until November.
Happy picking and brewing evryone. Don't forget to flick the heads to disperse the spores as someone regularly mentions.
