Thought this would be a fun idea for a thread. List the game (or games) you finished most recently, and give a BRIEF (one paragraph) review!
I finished RAGE yesterday.
I'd give it a 7.5/10.
Absolutely breathtaking visuals on max settings. Some minor screen tearing in places but nothing too distracting. I however was disapointed by the ease of the game even on hard difficulty (the game has a built in "defibrilator" that essentially takes all the challenge out of the game), as well as the incredibly poor story, which I felt had great potential. Still, a fun, 9-10 hour corridor shooter for ID considering it goes on sale for $5.00 from time to time.

Since opening our doors in 2003, we’ve played an integral part in re-establishing Kings Cross as a stomping ground for London’s discerning beat disciples. Our gnarly Flipside sound system, forward-looking lineups and industrial design aesthetics have proved popular earning us many loyal fans. During our 11 year reign we’ve become a staple of London club culture – a defining force within the scene, expanding year on year with bigger and better parties for the eyes and ears of you, the Egg London faithful.
To celebrate our birthday we’ve drafted in one of the most in demand House acts on the planet for his first London show of 2014. He's the boss of the highly regarded Diynamic Records imprint and we're stoked he will be right here for Egg London’s 11th annual celebration. Step up SOLOMUN! Joining the big man is Hamburg native and Diynamic label buddy DJ Phono. Meanwhile, taking over the Familia hosted ground floor is firm Egg favourite and Techno front-runner Cristian Varela who’ll spin a 3 hour extended set.
Elsewhere, we have another present in store for you… Our birthday will also be the night we extend our highly regarded Flipside Sound System across the whole of the venue. Last year we installed the world’s first custom built Flipside rig on our Terrace floor and after Boddika called it, “literally one of the best sound systems I’ve ever played on!” and Dense & Pika said it’s “the best sound system in London, period”, we thought it perfect timing to roll it out across the rest of the club. We’re ever on a mission to make your clubbing experience the best it can possibly be and this move is testament to that.
So with all that on offer, underground clubbers of all musical persuasions should be satisfied so dust down your Oyster card and head North!
Matt Lickess & Freesoup at The Howard Promo Pre Party & Indigo Void, Fri 25 April 14 This is a call to London from a large cruiser at sea - the call was "encrypted" but it was simple frequency inversion (used in WW II) that GCHQ could easily deal with anyway.
When the chap at the Post Office coastal station says "you're through old man, go ahead please" he is actually speaking to the younger radio operator (not the middle aged posh guy) = this lad turns on the encrypt and puts the key over to switch the radio inputs and outputs (with the encrypt on) across to the booth where the posh chap is waiting at the red telephone.
(the radio operator cannot overhear the encrypted call, but when the posh guy finishes and puts the phone down he wlll see on his console the lamp for that telephone set clear down) and can then put the comms back to clear and advise the coastal station the channel is free (these channels were very busy back then).

INDIGO VOID will make it's debut at The Fez Club in Sheffield UK on 25th April 2014, offering the trance scene a refreshing insight into the darkest corners of the genre.
INDIGO VOID sets out to revitalise the ever growing (yet largely unrepresented) world of underground, hypnotic trance music.
INDIGO VOID will host live performances from international artists, alongside established DJs and our very own residents. We guarantee a carefully programmed line up that will build through the night. From deep, melodic techno and cinematic house music, through to tough psychedelic trance and beyond.
For our opening event we welcome Serbia's ManMachine who will be performing a live set full of his distinctive, groove laden psychedelic trance. Having released music on Ovnimoon, Yellow Sunshine Explosion and Lost Language records in recent years, his UK debut is not to be missed.
Also on the bill is Activa, a stalwart of the scene, who’s name is once again on the ascendency, his productions having taken a dark twist of late, incorporating driving, progressive psy sounds, alongside his trademark euphoric riffs.
We also welcome very special guests Federation, who will be playing a rare live show. Signed to Paul Oakenfolds Perfecto Fluoro label, Federation marry industrial rock guitars with old school trance, and have been described as sounding like the Sisters of Mercy after two weeks in Goa.
Finally, residents Ben Lost (Lost Language, Hooj Choons) and Jon Cockle (JOOF Edition's resident) will ensure INDIGO VOID gets off to a solid start, with their brand of atmospheric house, trance and techno.
Music Genres:
Prog House, Psy/GoaTrance, Techno, Trance

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
First Electronic Club Yesterday… A GREAT experience that I wish to relive again and again. The dancing was Interesting, I cant do much yet.
But, what I found really interesting were the people with glowing leds on fingers, and the glowing balls they were swinging around. What are these? How do you learn it? What are they for?
First Electronic Club Yesterday… wasn't sure which forum to put this on as although it also shows a lot of radio communications equipment and sound recording equipment its main focus is on covert use of this kit and privacy/encryption rather than broadcasting. There is loads of info here on UK, European and US practices, as well as a detailed history of Agentschap Telecom (the old bald guys who go after the pirates today), the kit they used in previous years and their larger rôle in the defence of the Netherlands (last week all the pirates started up early as all of AT were busy at the Nuclear Security Summit)
Crypto Museum
Newbie from York UK So we are now three weeks into the new year (at what point does it stop being a "new" year?), and I am curious. All those magical bargains that I am sure people picked up in the various sales that seemed to be continual from October to January, are you working your way through them? Or are you still sticking with your tried and trusted favourites?
So without further ado:-
This week I have mostly been playing...
Knights of the Old republic II.
Picked up in the steam sale in the futile hope that it would be more stable than the boxed version (well it is, in that it sometimes runs). Sadly its frequent crashes to desktop, along with th schizophrenic way it may or may not let you load a save soon consigned it to the "unfinished" pile.
Sid Meiers Ace Patrol
A simple and enjoyable enough game. Sure it lacks any real depth but for wasting ten minutes or so its perfect.
Splatterings of Crusader Kings II
I'm sure the last time I played as an Irish lord it was a darn sight easier to batter Ireland under my yoke.
Game of the week:-
The one that has taken up most of my time, yes its a sale game, no it was not picked up from Steam, and yup I'm a trator to the cause
Ni No Kuni
From the playstation store for about £6. Fantastically enjoyable game which I would encourage anyone to play. Unless you hate pokemon. Or cutesy japanese RPGs. Or life in general.
So anyone thats not Belimawr then.

New bar/club name My names ben reilly and im opening a bar. Can anybody help me with some names with my name (not whole name) implemented in it please?12
New bar/club name HDBs are very tall tower blocks, similar to UK council blocks in London.
Even if you get a place in one, life in SG is not just expensive but can be very stressful and people jump off them fairly regularly. There have been some quite graphic pics on their news (coincidentally from the same organisation my dad worked for) - the only thing they cover up is the body (any blood spots and those cones marked 1,2,3 etc are shown in the newspaper pics). it would be more than most Western news would show, but less than mainland China.
SG is however one the safest countries in SE Asia for a single woman to live and socialise and has a lot less gender divisions in the tech industry (they may well be way ahead of many European nations)
it is very rare (in comparison to London and similar blocks in Malaysia) for anyone to be attacked/robbed in the communal areas of these blocks or deliberately thrown off - there is a lot of CCTV which is actually monitored, and the bottom floors are allocated to those of senior age (a traditional Asian concept for any multi floor building) and these older people also keep a watch on security and report anything untoward to 999 - most likely be one of them who reported her going off the balcony, and it would not be odd that they might have made this call more than once in their own lifetimes.
Cops are investigating although it is more than likely that she did jump off because of problems with her own career (this may have been the first obstacle she encountered in getting ahead in life) unearthing pre-existing mental health issues, and bitcoin was a relatively small factor in this.
