Set deep in the rolling hills of Leicestershire at the heart of rural England, Noisily Festival of Electronic Music and Arts lies in one of the most beautiful wooded valleys in the country. Totally contained amongst the trees creating a safe haven where hedonism and escapism can flourish and thrive, Noisily Festival 2014 will play host to some of the most exciting musical talent from the UK and abroad, along with a plethora of performance, innovative installations and mind bending visual arts.
You can expect to hear an extremely diverse collection of music; ranging from Electro, Glitch and Breaks, through House and Disco, via the Noisily mainstay of Progressive Techno, to the considerably beefed up Psychedelic line up with the traditional Psychedelic Sunday now including Friday and Saturday as well.
2014 sees the expansion of the site and arrival of the infamous Liquid Stage; after a decade at the sorely missed Glade Festival, Liquid Records has found a new spiritual home amongst the kindred spirits and like-minded ravers in sunny Leicestershire.
Across 3 main areas and a smattering of nano stages; below vast ceilings of woodland décor pulsing to the sound of kicking basslines, shredded in two by laser beams and shards of light; amongst the sound of laughter and a sea of smiles, boredom will be a word soon forgotten.
"Noisily Festival of Music and Arts is an absolute delight. It's a miniature, more palatable Glade. Even if you're not a big fan of Electronic music, I think you will squeal at the beauty that's on offer. There are moments to be had here. Who's joining me in 2014? (eFestivals, 2013)"
Oh Dear…. From Glade's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Glade.Festival?fref=ts
Firstly, our heartfelt apologies to all you Glader's for the delay in advising you on our plans for this years Glade festival; we hope that you can appreciate that it was imperative that we provide you with the most up to date position rather than put out something hastily!
10 years ago, before boutique was even a word in the festival lexicon, a small group of friends decided to gather all the party tribes under one guise and throw the UKs first truly collaborative electronic festival. But as you know the festival is not centered soley on a gathering of specialists in their genre of music, Glade became
a journey where the emphasis on creativity was welcomed to fuse together all the elements to give an experience second to none in the UK.
Glade continues to challenge the staus quo of the now over saturated festival scene and we are very keen to ensure that it always brings something just that little bit different - it is with this in mind that the powers that be at Glade have decided that we will not be releasing dates for the annual 4-day festival this summer. There will be much needed time spent regrouping and reassessing in preparation to bring you the Glade festival of all festivals in the summer of 2014.
Though this news is somewhat tinged with the sadness of not putting on a full event this year; we feel that any other decision would not have done us or indeed yourselves, our loyal Gladers, justice.
However... we feel it would be a crime to let the summer months pass without celebrating the passing of another winter, not to mention letting you revel in all the smoking hot new music we have accumulated so in true Glade style
there is a stupendous 24 hour event in the pipeline for you guys this summer!
Alongside this we are also teaming up with Project Sound to bring you a Glade LONDON stage every week at the world reknowned Ministry of Sound. This will be an opporunity to showcase a different stage from the festival each week and be a chance to be part of something exciting and new it will bring you an amazing cross-section of the best up and coming electronic music fused with that which you know.
We are all very excited for the next 12 months - we hope you will be too!
Glade.
What did you think of Glade 2012? What a weekend!! My first ever Glade and can't wait for next year.
All stages were sounding and looking great. Being able to explore through the forest was so much fun.
Weather was good too, minus that wee storm on Friday. Sun was back out in no time tho. :)
Amazing people, music and weekend. Well done to everyone involved.
I met someone in the forest on Saturday night. Was a bit mangled at the time and have a lovely wee chat. We went to go down to the Liquid stage and then I got lost. :( Felt well bad about that. If anyone knows a girl called Oriel from Exeter ask her to get in touch. Our pass on my apologies. I'm the guy from Belfast.
Vote for me to play at glade :) I've been shortlisted to win a set on the Liquid stage this year, if you want to see me play live go to this event, join it, and write 'Iacchus' on the wall (you can leave the event afterwards if you like)
PLEASE VOTE: WIN a Set on the Liquid Stage @ Glade Festival 2012 | Facebook
Hope to see you there!
