Glade Festival This year, yet again, Fushion are providing sound and lighting for the only dance music festival in the UK.
I have the facility to provide our regulars with tickets at the face-value price of £100 (no booking fees)...
However, if you are interested, you need to mail me immediately (or as soon as you can) with numbers required.
You will also need to arrange to get cash (sorry cash only) to me and I will let you know when the tickets are available to collect or to arrange for me to send them to you registered post (for which you will need to pay the small postage fee...around £3.50 per package IIRC).
If you want to get more info on the event have a look at

Random Glade Question Hello.
I've got my ticket, but a friend of mine wants to go but can't afford a ticket till payday. Has anyone heard if it's been sold out, yet?
Shit, it's 5 o'clock. I'm going home...
Glade festival update *NOT FOR PUBLICATION* Please do not mention this on the main board - this is information given to me in confidence and if more widely publicised will only damage the cause of all festival organisers in the thames valley area
I've only put it here as a number of us are involved in organising festivals of one kind or another, and it shows the other (normal peoples) side of the PEL argument...
I've just been informed by a reliable source within our local NHS Trust that a number of emergency hospital admissions have occured due to the Glade festival.
These include
1. a security guard/steward who was overpowered and beaten by people breaching the fence. His injuries are not life-threatening, but serious enough to warrant admission at A&E .... :( OK perhaps he shouldn't have tried to be the "big man" without backup but from what I was have been advised he was given quite a few bad knocks, rather more than "self-defence"...
2. several young mothers and babies - where it appears the mothers had taken drugs and forgotten to give their children sufficient food/water and the kids exhibiting signs of dehydration. All thankfully recovered now.
The A&E are also expecting a fair number of "shroom casualties" as people try to consume their stashes before monday (when they become illegal)
I asked my source whether the Ambulance Service/NHS Trust will mention this to the councils PEL committee - he said that the NHS do not normally do this; there is however a chance that "gossip" amongst blue light staff (particularly the non-paramedic Ambulance drivers) will cause info to filter through via the Police.
the casualty count (for this night) isn't particularly high given numbers attending; but its still a fairly substantial cost to the NHS which would not perhaps have happened had the festival not been on...
lets say my contact immediately knew there was some sort of "rave" festival on due to the sort of people presenting to A&E that night....
just one ambulance is £150 then its about £150-500 for the NHS staffs time per patient - it is allegedly recovered via the PEL costs and ticket charges though.. (I bet the NHS don't see any of the cash mind you)
I'm quite glad I did not go to this now - I had a nasty feeling the £84 ticket charge was paying in part for others' stupidity :(
Glade festival Does anyone know exactly where it is? Did not realise I had to subscribe for the directions and can't wait til 12pm tomorrow to find out!
Dognappers spotted at Glade Festival? According to our local paper a stolen dog was seen at the Glade music festival (this is the only recent musical event in aldermaston I can think of!)

THE hunt for a prized working dog stolen six weeks ago is now being concentrated in Whitley Wood.
The owner is appealing to neighbours living in the area to join the search after several sightings - and has put up a £200 reward.
Ryan Sharp's pedigree paterdale terrier Sam was stolen from a locked kennel on the Wellbarn Estate at Aldworth.
Estate workers saw four men in a gold Subaru estate car snatch Sam and there was a sighting in Englefield later that day, with another at a music festival in Aldermaston some days after that.
The men escaped on foot across a field when police gave chase, after dumping the Subaru in Tadley.
Mr Sharp said: "It must be more than a coincidence that a dog answering Sam's description has been seen in the park off Swallowfield Drive, on the estate and also in the Heroes Walk and Kingsley Close area.
"I'm really asking people who live or work there to keep a look out for Sam and to call if they think they see him.
"It's been six weeks now since Sam was stolen and it is horrible not knowing if he is okay or where he is."
Mr Sharp has visited the area several times just to see if he can find Sam and has put numerous posters up around the area.
He has also put up a £200 reward - with the usual conditions - for anyone who finds Sam.
Mr Sharp said: "He is jet black all over, his tail is docked but longer than normal and he has a tiny mole between his eyes."

Its possible that someone may have bought the dog "innocently"; but IMO this is completely out of order - particularly when so many pets get put down because they cannot be re-homed.
Stealing pet dogs and cats is frankly similar to abducting children; it worries me that people with that sort of mentality are attending events!
If someone really wants a dog there are loads at animal rescue; it makes you think that whoever nicked this one wanted it more as a fashion accessory than a long-term companion :(
Anyone gonna try and blag in to the GLADE Tryin desperatly to get to the glade festival, got no ticket but gonna try and blag in on sunday.Does anyone know what the security is like.
Any one else goin down?
