FUCKIN DISGRACE Message From Innercity Techno & Apocalypse Haulage
After this weekends semi desaster two seperate partys happend, one in a quary on the Lancs/Yorks border and one in a city centre Sheffield location.
The former was cleared and recycled the later not one piece of litter was picked up and the site looks like a rubbish tip. How and why has this happend, its so out of order its untrue.
What has happend to the party scene. Its the younger new generation that are doing this. I'm reluctant to name the rigs but something needs to be done..
Photos are being took as I write this...

Another spankingly good wknd. the amount of fun and laughter that was had this wknd is nothing short of criminal. wicked bands throughout the (mostly) sunny afternoons then into the hotel for some big bad and heavy funktion1 gener8r carnage at night. so many highlights to mention but, dub from atlantis, imperial leisure, dead silence, the wurzels, BEN 9MM and STIVS. Stivs fuckin destroyed that place on sunday night the whole place was goin nuts.
Our shanty camp, by the time we constructed it the rain stopped.

Sydney Warehouse Party Shut Down
Quote:
Last night’s warehouse party in the inner south was predictably shut down.
It could’ve had something to do with the location - a factory carpark not dissimilar to the mascot party that also caused a bit of a stir a while back.
However, it was brilliant while it lasted - a peaceful gathering of around 750 folks of all ages united by their love of electronic music and dub, and in many cases their rejection of sydney’s club hierarchy.
We could hear the bass on the light breeze as we walked up to the venue. Upon entry, we were greeted with a cacophony of choices - dnb, dub, live bands, and a few sound systems still finding their feet (and the generators).
The drum and bass pit was rinsin’ early, while the dub area revelled under a giant disco ball. The live stage was in full effect, but also had to contend with being closest to the main entrance - and was first to be shut down around 12.30am.
We witnessed some lovely creativity from some of the attendees. Special mention to the urban knitter who was in the process of creating a long arcing tapestry down the channel fence, which led to the chill space.
We hung around until 1.00am, by which stage it became clear that it was a lost cause. The street filled with flashing lights, and the arrival of the riot squad was merely a formality - not a question of if, but when.
Most party go-ers seemed to get the message and left as they had arrived and partied - peacefully and respectfully.
We may be idealistic, but last night we saw the true heart of sydney’s electronic underground - people not motivated by profit (or electro) but by the DIY ethos and spirit that embodies underground scenes globally.
Respect and gracias to all the crews who made spontaneous contributions (whoever you are).

One night in Stowmarket… dunno if anyone else from here went but some friends of mine from two of the local rigs did a pub night in Stow....
first time I've ever been there and was fairly surreal, they had the stack in this 1980s style function room (like one of those pubs what tried to go "olde worlde in the 1970s/80s to attract the CAMRA lot), a bit like a hall party for grown ups :laugh_at:and town was full of gary's all playing rnb from their cars and driving round in what appeared to be a circle...
all the usual Suffolk lot were there, good to see everyone again :laugh_at:
random moment was completely mistaking Scouse (who had cut his hair short) for someone else from the crew and talking to him for some time without realising this (it was dark though....) - then again he claimed to have first met me in 2006 but I think he must have been introduced to some other Asian dude as I only started getting to know the younger crowd here and go partying properly in 2007 (and EA's scene has more Asian/Oriental people than many other areas!)
Managed to get a few pints of Adnams too which (being from a coastal brewery) is hard to get as inland as Stow... :alcoholicall finished a bit early for me (had to get the train back) and noone was doing much afterwards which was a shame, but it makes a change me actually being awake and able to function and do stuff today ...
AZ1 at the Beacon Anyone else go? What a banging night! There was loads of phat techno, the rig sounded awesome and the biggest turnout I've seen at that venue everyone was well up for it, only shame was problems with old bill/environmental officers complaining about the noise and having to move the rig inside, still really avin it though raaa
Been to a life4land party? jus thought i would say somethin bout the life4land crew. they r a cambridge sounds system that do partys all over the place. they all produce and play all ther own tunes. the mainly play jungle breakcore gabba idm and clowncore. has any one been to any of ther partys or heard of ther tunes123
Dance Academy raided [Plymouth, UK] this venue has been used for raves since 1989 /90
nights like Positivity and Alpha all happened there back in the day
the basslines eventually meant the building was condemned, as the third floor was in danger of collapsing
but in the mid 90s it was rebuilt and relaunched, to become home to a brand of commercial rave cheese, such as Judge Jules and Boy George...
ever since then it's been a regular spot for large, heavily promoted club nights drawing cowds of noobs from far and wide
other SW clubs would do well to take note of the last sentance of this report

Police raid closes city nightclub
Police in Plymouth used new powers to close one of the city's main nightclubs on Saturday night.
Up to 140 officers were involved in a raid on the Dance Academy on the city's Union Street.
It follows a five-month operation which officers say showed class A drugs are being used and dealt there.
About 200 club goers were asked to leave while evidence was gathered. A hearing on Monday will decide if the club will be closed for three months.
'Other operations'
A 35-year-old man from Honiton was arrested on suspicion permitting the supply of a class A drug on the premises and a 33-year old man from the Whitleigh area of Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of a similar offence.
New legislation under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act has given police powers to shut down licensed premises where class A drugs are being used or supplied and serious disorder or nuisance is being caused.
Chief Supt Morris Watts, from Devon and Cornwall Police, said closure orders "were not taken lightly".
"But where there is evidence of drug use and disorder, we will deal with such premises robustly," he said.
"It is likely there will be other operations like this run across the force in the coming months if the evidence warrants it."
the fact that it's taken 17 years to be raided doesn't bode well for other clubs in the area this summer... a new priority, dripped down from London (middle-class rug use will not be tolerated etc etc)
Your very first Rave!! I remember my first rave very well. I was 18 and the world was my oyster. Started getting into DnB and my mates birthday was coming up, Another friend suggested we went raving in London down at Camden Palace. As i was new to this i was a bit hesitant but my mates assured me it would be all good. We went and it was phat, Had my very first pills there as well and came up to DjHypes - Ready Or Not. I was on cloud 9 and it was one of best experiences i had ever had!! Even now whenever i hear that tune i always remember that tune and even get a little moist. In my eyes i should add! :crazy_dru
So my question to all is, do you remember your first ever rave and how was it? :love:1234
