Peter Jacksons Early Films For me, his 1st 3 films were absolute cult classics that not many people were exposed to at the time.
The 1st film, Bad Taste, follows "the Boys", as they try to find out what's happened to an entire town of people.

TV Based thread – isnt Ripper Street amazing Ripper Street - fuck, fuck, fuck, as a word and a sweary concept. Ain't it good? Am in on my own here... Peaky blinders was watchable but basically dog poo. Deadwood (yankee cowboy drama, mid 2000s starring Ian McShane) was great, and possibly one of the lines of inspiration for Ripper Street, but wow, it's really good ain't it? Go on, tell me it's crap and i'll hate you but if you give a good reason then its understandable you bastard.

European psychedelic festivals, are they as cool a cool as, sorry, they sound? Ozric Tentacles does them, Hawkwind does them, all these cool psychedelic festivals. NOTHING like that in the USA. Psych Fest in Austin looks great, but these festivals look even better. Am I in envy of this for no good reason, or do they indeed ROCK like they look like they do? Don't worry, this Yank isn't planning to MOVE there, it''s just a question.
Pot Cops I just saw some of a US documentary called Pot Cops, following a drug squad in California going after cannabis users or whatever. This was the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen, even I knew from here in the UK that California doesn't care about cannabis, yeth they have military styke operations on peace loving hippies knowing full well they can't do anything even if they find what they are looking for. They busted 1 bloke with 46 pounds of weed, but had to let him keep it as a judge had signed an order saying he was allowed 46v pounds of pot.
Not only is America pissing money away fighting drugs, it's making a TV show so the rest of the world can laugh a bit harder at their buffoonish attempts to keep demonically depicting drugs, it just doesn't wash any more.
