Poorly pressed pills may be a bad sign although I never noticed many problems when I used them many years ago, looks just can not be re;lied on. Well pressed pills can contain any random compound just as much as a well pressed one. Also proper testing should be done as pills and powders are unidentifiable by eye. I just got a bag of white powder sent to me this week as suspected DXM which I sent to a friend to test (he has a set of 5 different reagents). The results are suggesting PMA and more has been sent off for a GC/MS to confirm but there is no way on earth this could be done any other way and the difference in effect between DXM and PMA is as far as it gets but difference in appearance can be nothing.
