MSc Legal high research
My name is Evie and I am currently conducting research for Sheffield Hallam University for the completion of my MSc in clinical and cognitive neuroscience; to which my research is specifically focused upon the chronic cognitive impact of a range of legal highs such as: spice, Mcat, laughing gas, MXE etc.
In order to carry out this research I am in desperate need for frequent and ex legal high users, to which all info will be kept confidential and no personal info including name DOB's etc will be collected. The research does have ethical approval by the ethics board at SHU, and if confirmation of this is required I am happy to do so.
The research will induce no physical or psychological harm to those involved but will involve questionnaires and neurocognitive tasks that will need to be carried out within the university.
The purpose of the study is to expand our knowledge of the psychiatric and cognitive consequences of frequent legal high use, with the view to use this data to develop specific treatment interventions to reduce harm in users.
