One of the worst parts for me was when she confided to someone that someone may be coming for her because she gave him the address but was too scared to tell a parent cos she wasn’t allowed to be using kik and she thought she’d get in more trouble.
I always told my son that he should always tell me in cases where he may have done something stupid or find himself in any sort of trouble. We’ll worry about him being safe and OK before I kick his arse for doing shit he was told not to.
