Hi, l’ve had enough of my local area. I just went up to some lads and asked them if they were smoking anything interesting and l got the feeling they wanted to rip my head off. I was playing on my bike near a public hall and some ladies gave each other funny looks and they hid round the corner. I asked the caretaker how much it would cost to rent the place 9pm-2am and he said “we don’t do that mate”. What a day!

How can l become a DJ at my own rave? Any tips? I read an article on it just a bit ago (that’s how l discovered this site actually). It all seemed a bit Machiavelian. Is there any way to just find a Church hall, stick some speakers in and cut the midrange/pump up the bass?!

Your rave looks ace!!! I wish l could be there. For various reasons l can’t 🙁

How do you stop ppl misbehaving at a rave by the way? I mean, ppl on a booze vibe startin on nice ecstasy ppl.

Hi Mermaid!

Its free because we believe in the free party ethos, and don’t want to overcharge people to have a good time.

The DJ’S we book are just happy to play to an up for it crowd, this helps create a better atmosphere, where people are doing it for the love it of it and not for just the money!

Me and my husband run it. We make a small loss on the night, but we have so much fun doing it, that we don’t mind. Our mates help out with what they can too.

We are starting to cut costs now as we have bought a a lot of the decor etc, and have the system, so doesnt cost as as much each month to run it.

We just enjoy putting on parties!
