A few people keep asking about the smoking ban and how it will affect our event. Well to be honest it wont the reason being is, Studio3 has always been a friendly venue where people can come in and out of the venue as they please so smoking will not be a huge issue whatsoever. I can 100% say from scouts honor there will NOT be a £1 charge for a stupid wrist band so you can go and have a fag. The only thing you pay is the door charge and you get a mark on your hand or where ever you want your fancy little ink stamp, and you can go have as many fags as you want. Im sure if you really want to go mad you can have a fag and a burger and chips from next door and still come back inside the venue as long as you have paid the door tax.

As for other promoters/clubowners

Im disgusted that you are charging people people up to £3 for a stupid wrist band just to have a fag. Why can i leave a venue to run to a cash point but not go for a fag?

P.S im now a non-smoker 5days now yea

for this sort of event its in a legal venue – maybe similar to a night club in Bangalore or other urban area – so to be “part of it” all you have to do is turn up and pay the (small) entrance fee. Bury St Edmunds is a long way away from London though, maybe 2 hours drive…

if you do not want to travel this distance, there are other similar events held in London, they are also advertised in this forum.

If you are looking for less “controlled” parties similar to the events that happen in Goa, our outdoor rave parties, you will need to post here a bit more often and get to know people.

In Britain these events are often unlicensed and outside the law and info is given only to trusted people.

Never been to Studio 3, what’s it like, especially on an underground night!?

I’m based in Ipswich and the clubs are so poor, full of commercial dance, RnB and inhibited robotic like “clubbers”.

Love Hardcore so would be interested in checking it out.

its small(ish) but fairly underground and not too bad a venue when you take into account the multiple rooms.

Been there a few times and had a good laugh – definitely better than anywhere in Ipswich..

Wicked crowd and i have worked my arse off to keep it like that. Studio3 is a wicked venue and the doorstaff and managment are really nice people as well. We decided to open up the 3rd room as well for the breakbeat peeps.
