  • About PCP Project

Fed up with listening to techno that sounds like a washing machine? Been mugged at a knife point by a violent crackhead at your last party in London? Spent the whole of Saturday night driving around the English countryside only to find out the site was busted? Love having a proper stomp to phat underground music?

Any of those sound familiar? Maybe you have something in common with us….

PCP Project is a collective of people who have been going to squat parties and technivals for more than a decade now. We love our music, we love our parties and we love to have it big and proper, but we cant stand the aggro, attitude and problems linked to what has recently been going on at most of London parties (some of us are also getting slightly fed up with listening to the same records for the n-th time…) So PCP Project was born – and here is what we have in store for our second party…

    303 Oveload

If you (like me) are addicted to screaming 303 lines you will be pleased to hear that we will be bringing back our Acid Techno gurus – Paul Cortex (http://www.myspace.com/paulcortex) and Homemade Acid (http://www.myspace.com/homemadeacid ). Paul will be gracing our ears with his awesome live set and Homemade Acid will be playing a selection of his banging new tracks and also some of his new original material – watch this space…On more bouncy side we have Kapitain K (http://www.myspace.com/kaptainkss) and his selection of more upbeat funky techno tracks.

    In the spirit of multiculturalism

We cannot help but notice the recent influx of Central and Eastern Euopean DJs and producers into the UK underground scene. We had a good listen and there is some great talent and great music in their record bags – so we have invited three well established Polish DJs to showcase their talent

    DJ Majro – Techno/Funky Techno
DJ Pixon – Hard Trance/Hard Dance
    DJ SI2 – Hard Trance/Hard House

    Drum & Bass/Jungletek

We also have Jungletek pioneers DJ Dabble and Karnage (Ketwork 32) (http://www.myspace.com/djdabblek32) playing their new Live Act, mixing heavy basslines with banging 4×4 beats….yummmy 😉 They will also be playing in the D&B room, together with Reading’s residents, Pok Rent (Chunky but Funky) and Angel of Light (Project Mahem)

    Visuals/Chill out

If that was not enough we will provide quality visuals by VJ Starramanga (http://www.myspace.com/vjstarramanga) and a unque chillout environment with Shisha accompanied by original ambient/electronica tracks.

For those of you unfamiliar with the venue Plug n’ Play is a little recording studio/venue on the outskirts of Reading (no random drunk chavs passing by) with an incredibly cosy atmosphere and a surprisingly underground feel. For more details/photos please visit http://www.plugnplay.tv We will be playing from 11 to 6 and the door charge is 5 pounds all night.

fair play to you all, this sounds like an excellent event done for all the right reasons – Lots of names I recognise on there too 🙂

it was a great night last time,
venue and vibe more like a party than a club.
just what you need whilst waiting for a summer of free parties!
see you there for some stomping acid techno,

    homemade acid :]

definitely worth it with this venue and crew…

    raaaraaaraaa

Thanks for all replies people – we are really looking forward to seeing you all there…

Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances that I d rather not be discussing on a publicly viewable forum we will no longer be having Ketwork32 providing the sound.

We managed to locate a worthy replacement though – the rig will now be provided courtesy of Fushion Sounds (for more info visit http://www.fushion.org.uk)

It looks like it is going to be a phat night with all the acts confirmed and ready to go – plus some seriously unstable individuals are already volunteering to host an afterparty 😉

Get ur raving boots on then, and come to party Reading style.

    See ya there

    PCP Project crew
