      To welcome in 2008 we present the next instalment in our popular DECELERATE ‘chill-out’ gigs. Come along and calm down after the end of the seasonal hedonism. To help us along DATsound of OX4 RADIO will be hosting house, chill-out, funk and breaks!

        WHAT!!!

        Become a member of something else for entry……. Had thought about it but i am being a snob and this is east Oxford.

        (BTW krusada Baraka NYE was fun, Shame about the odd set played about 2/3 in the morning…. :you_crazy Not what i wanted to hear…)

          re: membership it is a bit of a pain, I agree. Unfortunately as it turns out the license under which the venue operates is a private members club (sigh). This means only members and their bona-fide guests will be allowed in. This has to be enforced or else the venue will be shut down. 🙁 🙁 On the plus side the events are always cheap as is the beer 🙂

          glad you enjoyed NYE Baraka. Dunno which was the “odd set” – was this in the main room? My set (in the back) was pretty different (hardcore breaks) but that was at 5am and frankly after 7 hours of 4/4 beats I think we all needed something a bit more choppy 🙂

            Ah cool the membership thing doesn’t sound too bad then, well if it means cheaper drinks. Might see what i am up too and might make a trip along.

            This is the bit i am on about, I actually dont mind what is being played. But when your rushing your tits off its not the usual stuff i would listen too, all the people I was with agreed. Then at the end of the video it goes back to what i could dance too :weee: Good night though

              That was Sean (ZZBing) at 4am, I think. A little “in-joke” really rather than a serious attempt to get us all rocking to Rage Against the Machine…

                i didn’t think that bit was too bad; it made a nice change from the psy trance anyway! and your set was awesome krusada! lol anything but psy trance really…
                but decelerate is going to be great isn’t it! can’t wait 🙂

                        erm – maybe.

                        The East Oxford Community Centre (EOCC) has seen a helluva lot of action over the years. We are absolutely not the first promoters there, and likely wont be the last 🙂
