almost 1 week away ……..

with just over a week to go . . .update 4 ya. .

if ur up early we have readings community samba band warming us up 11.30-12 in the park . .

we have added a outdoor dj area in the terrace at Cuba ,the after party venue…… (all still for free entry)

Chuffed to be joined by the following DJ’s :
THC and Wil Blaze (3.5 recs/ 10 bag)
Fader Fader (Beatfeast, Reading)

we have original pieces of art as additional prizes in the charity raffle alongside the main prize of two tix to the Glade . .

will be back to post the running order next week . . .

superb line up for a free event…..
6 amazing artists painting murals allday for your visual entertainment as well . . .

if you need to persuade the mrs / GF or indeed if u are a female forum head (not to stereotype or nuthin) we are also be joined by a bespoke choclatier, who operates a luxury belgian chocolate fountain, the output of which is served poured over strawberries and marshmallows………

lots of info and downloads of sets on the facebook event page if ur so inclined that way……(downloads or facebook 😉

Who’s going to this?

I should be (weather permitting) but not so sure if I want to take one of my mates…. he might be 19 but looks 12 and he can be a bit of a liability… Well he might do a Daftfader and hide somewhere and get lost :laugh_at:

yeh im gonna head down for this, i heard the weathers gonna be shit this weekend though which will be a real shame, but if so i do love dancing in the rain

Urm yeah I have seen the weather forecast which is dire, but they also said today was meant to rain here and its clear skys and lovely…

Just got sent this through Facebook…

GUTTED TO ANNOUNCE I’VE HAD TO MAKE THE DECISION TO BRING THE EVENT INDOORS

unfortunatley i have had to make the heartbreaking decision after months of personal hard work, based on forecasts that indicate rain all morning and till 3pm on Sat to bring the event indoors to CUBA, Saddler’s court, Newbury.

this is due to the financial losses i personlly shall be liable for if the events is soaking wet, which looks highly likely, also from a health and safety and insurance liability it raises a lot of concerns.

our only other option is to bring the event indoors and try make money for the charity that way.

we will still have the same music and visual art line up so far (line up will go back 2hrs with event kick off at 2pm, charity raffle etc ) and we are still hoping to run one room with facepainting and kids art activities , although there will be no indoor capabilities to accomodate pushchairs etc)…..this obviously a big disapointment to us and our potential attendees

ABSOLUTLEY GUTTED

perhaps we will attempt a re-run sometime if weather improves in the summer (!)

F**KING WEATHER

CUBA IS 200 CAPACITY VENUE, WITH SPECIAL BASS HEAVY SYSTEM BROUGHT IN FOR THE DAY (NOT OPUS AUDIO AS VENUE DONT HAVE 3 PHASE POWER SUPPLY), we will also be transforming the venue and having VJ’s providing some top class visuals if all plans work out . . .

GET DOWN EARLY DOOR FOR WHAT (DESPITE THE DISAPOINTMENT) IS GONNA BE 13 HOURS OF SUPERB MUSIC AND ART FOR FREE ENTRY
