That’s harsh. I didn’t get searched at all, not even a pat down. The guy pointed at my purse and said ‘what’s in there?’ so I said ‘money, you can see if you want’ but he was already shaking his head and pushing me through.
The security was tight but no more so that I expected. London venues, especially somewhere like Ally Pally are under extraordinary pressures from the council and police.
The coppers I saw were laughing and posing for photos with the ravers, one of them gave his hat to the girl for the photo they definitely seemed more amused by the whole thing than arsey.
The rave itself was seriously good. Every room had me dancing my socks off, my legs were aching so much when I was walking home.
