Spacehopper Music and Techno Value presents Spangled.
A proper party, for proper party people! Please come and join us for an evening of classic old-school acid, techno, trance and hard-house. Featuring some legendary DJs playing classic sets on vinyl, and a live band using analogue machines. We welcome those who used to party in the days before laptops and cdjs. We also welcome those too young then, who want to experience the vibe now!
In the Studio;
Mike Dred aka The Kosmik Kommando
Mike Dred is a true legend of electronic music. He has produced records since 1990 and counts 210+ published works on over 50 commercial projects, on labels such as Rephlex Records, R&S Records, and his own recently revived imprint Machine Codes. He has performed in over 120 cities spanning 27 countries. Rough Guide publications ‘ The Rough Guide to Techno’, describes Mike as “The Jimi Hendrix of the 303” and “Full on Acid (Music) Genius”.
Rush GBH
Head honcho of GBH Records/Smiley Digital and promoter of Smiley Culture. Creator of the hardstyle anthem ‘Exorcism Of Chucky’. RushGBH will be treating us with a set of acidic hardhouse classics.
Spacehopper
Spacehopper are a live band that performs dance music. The main members have been performing live music at parties and raves since 1990 – pushing machines to extremes. Chris uses synthesisers, computers and other machines to produce the live sound. Paul plays percussion, and Phil plays live bass guitar. Luke is the main MC / Lyricist, but there are also often appearances from other guest MCs.
Syco
Veteran DJ and producer, promoted the dance tent at the two Eastern Haze festivals and the Norwich nights Techno Value and Whomp. Known for playing a hard techno sound, for one night only he’s dropping a set of classic acid and techno.
Warp
Resident DJ for the legendary “offyerface” and Kitchen parties of the 90’s. We are truly honoured as Warp is coming out of retirement for this event!
