first did it at NYE party (03/04 wokingham)
shortly afterwards went up to floor 1 where somatek/phantom/void/oblivion (the local crews) were set up.
The_Dave was playing his live set, but we had been plagued by technical faults earlier on and he was worried that the sound may be distorted. He asked me “is this system overloading?”
I tried to look at the level meters, lamps etc
“Dave, the signal lights are moving all over the fucking place. There is no way I can keep track of those! It sounds alright to me though….” and then burst out laughing
shortly afterwards the building ended up filling up with water and had to quite literally be bailed out (not a pleasant job in winter!)
I managed to get myself back together enough to help locate the outside tap, and get assorted munters back through the main door as some nosey bobbies turned up just at this moment!
so its a good buzz but not so mad you can’t get anything together 🙂
as an aside I reckon there’s some kind of “murphys law” that ensure that if you are crewing a party some major incident happens just as you are most mashed……………
