It depends on lots of things – I guess – one big one is your motivation to stop, whether the prescribers get the britlofex up quick enough (and this will depend upon in patient and out patient detox – in patient it can be increased much quicker), whether the body can tolerate it (as drops BP rapidly) and BP can be too low to even administer it,
and I think its best given with a shed load of benzo’s for a week or so to assist.
But this is so ‘clinic / prison’ locality dependent on their prescribing protocol / doctor…
I’ve seen people absolutley cruise through a britlofex deox (but they also really wanted to be clean and were in the right frame of mind to get through whatever came thier way -) and some really struggle – (but similarly enough they also were in for the wrong reasons often – detox or prison, detox or we take yer kids off you etc) and some also struggle but manage…. I guess with anything its horses for courses….
