Hi all! First post, so go easy on me. Also I’m not certain if this is the appropriate place to post about 5-apb, apologies if so.
I recently flew out to Kansas to visit a friend of mine and to go to the Skrillex show for his mothership tour (amazing btw). He’s frequently piss tested for the military and so we agreed to stick to alcohol and so we got to the show and within 10 minutes had found someone selling.
My friend and I failed to exercise better judgment, as I know it’s never smart to buy from a random at the show, but anyway he showed us what appeared to be a brown powder looking substance in a clear capsule, roughly 1/2-2/3 full. My friend asked what it was and the guy said 5-abp. My friend, his girlfriend, and me all purchased one.
At this point my friend and I have each had roughly 9 shots of vodka (mixed), though I forget the proof. I take my pill first, with my friend and his girlfriend waiting to see how it goes for me. An hour or so passes and I’m still not feeling much of anything, though I notice I’m becoming much less inhibited.
More talkative, more anxious about the show, etc. This is where my experience gets interesting and the main reasons I’m writing this post. The come-up was very slow, but then it all hit me at once. I panicked for what might have been 20 minutes or so, mostly because of my heart rate and the fact that I felt like I was losing consciousness (zoning out, heavy, wobbly legs, etc). I remember stressing to my friend that i absolutely NEEDED water.
I apparently was even scaring him a little from how important I made it seem. So I went to the vendor to purchase my water and after asking him to repeat himself 4 times, I realized he was asking for my card to pay. I couldn’t focus well. The water was amazing and after I finished drinking it I felt on top of the world. I told my friend and his girlfriend to take their pills ASAP because this was the real deal.
After they popped theirs I became increasingly concerned for his g/f as she took about the same dose as us and is roughly half our weight. I told her it was going to hit hard and fast but just to focus on breathing and how she’s feeling and the panic will pass. I repeated this over and over out of concern.
We made our way out to the floor and began dancing. After sometime my friend is dragging his girlfriend away as she began vomiting. We go, sit down, talk for a bit, and she decides she feels well enough to continue. So we go back out and from this point on, I have almost no recollection of the night. To put it in perspective, Milo And Otis was the opening act, followed by Dillon Francis, followed by Skrillex.
Each was roughly 60-90 minutes performing. I took my pill midway through Milo and Otis. I remember nothing of Dillon Francis’s performance and only parts of Skrillex where I really dialed in and focused on what was happening. After Skrillex I was sober enough to drive us all home and remember the ending of Skrillex’s performance.
I know when I was rolling I was extremely satisfied with what I took. My concern is about the lack of memories. I remember next to nothing for about a 3 hour period. My friend said all I did was dance and rub myself.
Surprise surprise.
I’m almost skeptical he took his pill for fear of being tested, as I never saw him take it, his memory is spot on, and both myself and his gf were completely gone. Is this normal of 5-apb or any similar experiences? I realize there’s no way to be certain that’s what I took, but it was definitely one of the better rolls I’ve had. Could it be contributed to the mix of alcohol?
As I said, I’d love to take 5-apb again but not if it means missing the memories.
