I remember that day quite well – it was extremely surreal getting up and finding the news showing film of jet liners crashing into skyscrapers. Took me a while to realise it was the news, and not some bizarre afternoon TV program. I also remember people asking why it had been done…
Seemed obvious to me at the time – it had been done (after carefully waiting for Clinton to go) because Bush was president. The reaction of this particular president was always going to be to go and find someone to blow up (most likely Iraq – was a bit surprised he went after Afghanistan first), and I said to my partner at the time that the reaction was what the perpetrators were looking for – it would be a great way for someone to get recruits for the we hate the US club, or whatever brand of lunacy they were fighting for….
Hatred always creates more hatred (something I hope the human race will work out eventually). And any president who can plan to open up the Alaska reserve (one of the biggest nature reserves in the world) for oil exploration ain’t at the top to be a servant of the people…
Don’t know about pretend crashed planes etc (the footage looked real to me), but conspiracy there was for sure – either of silence/ignoring the evidence, or deals struck between the 2 families (both rulers of their respective countries). Must be some reason Osama hasn’t been found yet (and it’s not from lack of leads or searching). Tipped off before the searchers get there possibly?
Discovering that it was gonna be a war between religious fundamentalist headcases was the icing on a bloody awful looking cake… I’ve read most of the bible, and I don’t remember god saying “go forth and boot the shite out of anyone who doesn’t believe in me”. Pretty sure the Koran doesn’t either…These people must be real insecure in their beliefs if they feel they have to have everyone believe what they do, and have to kill anyone that doesn’t….:you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy
If there really is a god, and if he is omnipotent as they think, why does he need them to go off and do his killing for him? Surely he is capable of doing it himself, unless he is completely, irretrievably insane, and spends his time f**king with peoples heads, and watching them run about killing each other in ever more senseless ways because he enjoys it. If that’s the case, I think I’d rather go to hell. At least the devil is honest…:hopeless::hopeless::hopeless:
