I received a parcel the other day, and the packaging was all covered in crayon and dribble…..

Maybe the jokes are harsh

But I know that a lot of people with different kind of handicaps feel more alienated when people look the other way when they pass them on the street, or parents take their kids away from them because they act like it’s contagious. :you_crazy

Don’t think they don’t make jokes about us, because they do :weee: and most of them understand a joke for a joke and not for some kind of attack on them. I think most of them want to be treated like the rest of us and we don’t always allow that.

People make jokes about me for different reasons, laugh at the guy with red hair and the blond girl, tell jokes about black people and they make jokes about us stupid white people, but it’s not because we hate each other.

Some of the jokes I really don’t like but I’m not crazy about people attitude about them either, it’s like saying that, here we have a whole group of people we pretend don’t exist.

Not sure if any of this make sense but I have tried to explain the best I can, could write it in danish but I’m sure nobody would understand that 😉

If every time somebody offended someone it was classed as bullying then we would all be bullies. If you can’t find humour in yourself and your situation then you’re never gonna be happy with it, you’d be forever angry and bitter. Which is sad.

There’s probably a lot of people that would get offended by being kept awake throughout the night by music coming from a nearby barn that has been broken into and had a sound system set up in it… We can’t care about everyone else all of the time.

Besides, this sub-forum has a disclaimer that reads “all your jokes are welcome here”

ur not listening, im only offended cos if other ppl i know read this joke it would hurt them and i care about other ppl, also its a pretty shit joke anyway(but thats not the point) its all about offended someone personally,

putting a soundsystem in someones barn isnt like saying that they have an illness that makes them “different”, and thats what ur joke is saying. Theres just no need for it, thats what im saying

I know black people, but I don’t get offended by a racist joke. I would be offended at a malicious rascist comment however.

Jokes about child rape victims, suicide, race, religion and a host of other topics could all offend me because I personally know people who are or have been in those situations, but they don’t. A joke is merely a joke.

Had I started a thread saying “I fucking hate people with Down’s Syndrome, what a waste of space, drown the cunts at birth, they’re not worth the money it costs to look after them” then I would understand some upset.
(I’d like to make it understood that these aren’t my views. Believe it or not I believe in equal oppurtunities)
