A lot of people are too self-righteous to find humour in bad situations. I recommend they never see Jerry Sadowitz do stand-up.

If a joke is actually funny, or clever, then I’ll laugh and give it credit no matter what the content. Like the one above – it’s a clever little play on words that made me laugh – it doesn’t mean I hate people with down’s syndrome….[/quote]

there is nothing clever about that joke

my 3 year old daughter makes more lateral plays on words than that

what the fuck is that supposed to mean? of any number of genetic pre-dispositions that people with downs syndrome may have, a large cranium is not one of them

fuck, of course… i must admit i did wonder bout that, but clearly not v hard! Wow, that is pretty bad… we could at least try an get our facts right when we are being offensive, people… :hopeless:

What’s blue and never fits properly?

    A dead epileptic.

I’ve always thought jokes are supposed to be funny.

The best way to understand Down’s syndrome is to educate yourself. Go on and read this Childwiki article.

Joke’s a joke imo. I laugh at racist jokes, fat jokes and even jokes about my own mother. Of course Im not racist, nor care for people’s weight and I certainly have no issues with my mum.

I hate the general hypocrisy when It comes to which jokes should be ok to laugh at. It’s pretty much guaranteed there will be someone to find offence to most jokes. As long as the person telling has no bad intention, and takes care who he tells the joke to.

Personally this joke is shit, but not because It’s offensive, It’s just generally shit – sorry :laugh_at:

I knew a dedicated Christian who helped run a church who told jokes about everything. Yet he was the nicest caring person you’d be ever likely to meet.

although i kinda agree with you I’d always steer clear of racist jokes and stuff because people will think you’re a racist

however if we were always COMPLETELY politically correct with ALL our jokes, there will be no jokes left at all except for christmas cracker jokes

One of my brothers have downs, should I be offended by a joke? no I do not, but this one didnt lol… It lacked everything that makes up a good joke, probably made by a retard that think he oh so normal.
Now tell me proper downie joke:bounce_fl

    Hi All ,
Im really bad at telling joke , infact i’d kill the best joke in the history of jokes . However i do get why some times having a dark sense of humour can help in life . In my job some times we have to deal with some upsetting things as i can imagine many other jobs do as well . How ever to make light of a bad situation we have a laugh about it ….amongst our selves and out of ear shot of anybody else .

Ever heard the expression if i couldnt laugh i’d cry , well thats why . I think in situations like this where it helps release stress and upset its okay . However we all have had that moment when you laugh when perhaps really you shouldn’t . Example how many of us have laughed when some one fell over or had an accident ? …be honnest now 🙂 . My point is laughing is a good way to relieve upset , anger etc , so if you laugh off something that has upset you you get a release 🙂 ….rather than bottle it up .

A laugh a day keeps the doctor away 🙂

    regards
    Mungo
