I have legitimate adhd but I have been taking more than I should. I told my doc that I lost my prescription a few times in a row and she wrote me more…but at the last appointment she told me that she wouldn’t do that anymore. She also gave me a new script after saying to me that the DEA is watching me. Do you think they really are or is she just warning me that I could possibly get in trouble? What do you think? I haven’t been contacted by any authorities and if they were why would she write me up another prescription?
It is probably just a warning but the DEA do have a different class of officer to monitor suspected diversion of controlled substances (they are more surveillance officers than enforcement officers and do not do all the heavy stuff like caving in your door and pointing guns at you).
Basically she (and the feds!) want to be sure that you are not sharing the meds with friends or selling them as they do have some recreational value for non ADHD sufferers. Both of you can get in trouble if you do that.
Agreed i dont think u have anything to worry about.the dea is watching the scripts an docs way more than the patients
