This error comes up after clicking that.
I’m sorry but signatures have been for subscribers and staff only for some time now because of past abuse by spammers.

How does one go about adding a signature for posts?

Aww man. I really wanted to share my favorite B. F. Skinner quote with you all . I’m pretty new so I was not aware of that. Is it going to be permanent? I would love to buy a subscription but alas I am much much too young to have a credit card. What if signatures were enabled and there was a link to report it below said signatures in case of abuse? I know that a mere suggestion from a random newbie will most likely be ignored, and could be time consuming on your part, but is it possible? And if so, would you consider it? Well thanks so much for all of the help friends!
Why don’t you PM me your signature and I’ll see what I can do? 🙂

Hey, Dr Bunsen, The Psyentist, Angel, DaftFader, Thanks you guys and gal for being so helpful and responding so quickly! I’m pretty new to this site and on all of the other sites i’ve ever been on, NEVER would the Moderator let alone the Administrator bother respond to a newbie’s post! Man this website is hella fine..

Hey Dr B. I know i’m probably being a pain… But when I sent the message, it didn’t show up in ‘Sent Messages’. Did I send it wrong or something?
this site works differently to other software. I don’t think it stays there or you need to change a setting for that to happen. Dr B must have got the message as I can see the signature in your more recent posts.
Yeah he did. Dr B is a pretty cool dude I must say. It turns out, only staff, subscribers and him have signatures due to spammers or something…

Also, Did you close the thread?
no, although it it is easy to accidentally close one from the higher security level menus (and then re-open it again). This thread hasn’t been closed or edited as that can usually be seen in the audit trail. These forums have always been well run and we voluntarily comply to all the youth protection rules worldwide whilst still permitting free and open discussion (which isn’t a trivial task); which is also why things like signatures are slightly more locked down, we do occasionally get people foolishly thinking that the laws don’t apply online and trying to sell drugs or other illegal things, not realising the feds don’t even need to look at our server, they can get into the connections long before they reach it (perhaps Ed Snowden might have at least made folk more aware of this).

What’s the ‘youth protection rules’?
