yep thats a danger with adsense, I remember some years ago pointing out to the admins of old “ravecore!” board that their site was showing ads for drug testing kit (although they used a free forum).
unless we are getting loads of complaints though it might be worth keeping the banner ads if they are bringing in money – TBH most other rave sites now have them, DJ mixtape even has adverts for BT and other mainstream brands on there!
