  • Well I was at Creamfields the weekend just gone and I managed to get 2g of MDMA into the campsite easy.

But on the first night I went down to the arena, I took a bomb before I set off and then put 2 bombs in the inside rim of my cap, as I walked past the sniffer dog it started pulling the officer towards me and then did a circle around me. The officer said he onto something here. Luckily I was saved by 2 guys who walked past who must have been packing as the dog instantly turned and went for them, I took the opertunity to pretend my friend was on the phone to me and I said ‘Ye I am coming mate, i’ll be there in a minute’ and shot off as fast as I could!

dogs get tired like humans and only have a limited deployment window.

cops aren’t usually interested in youths with personal amounts, only dealers level but they are shifting their perspectives to the younger age groups especially single young males and friendly young couples)

My age group (even if some still occasionally indulge) knows that in England you are profiled simply for still being into EDM when you are over 30 yet most of us do have jobs and don’t need to deal to randoms at parties….

I think attitudes are slightly better in Holland (still normaal for someone 40 or 50 to go to a trance event, after all many DJ’s are that age now) although most of the dealers busted at events are in their teens and 20s….

Close one man. At least it’s just an amusing story to tell & not a crappy (& early) end to the weekend (guess the weather did that anyway though).

10 years ago it used to be the 30 somethings they went for in England (I didn’t understand Dutch then so couldn’t monitor the NL media and they have stronger privacy laws so don’t archive as much as UK news)

this year in England its been teenagers and 20 somethings they’ve busted for dealing (with significant amounts) and in NL early to mid 20s.

the discrepancy may be because in NL a teenager caught dealing is not sent to jail but often dealt with by social services – at least in some cases they are more likely to be talked into grassing up their sources than an older youth – remember there aren’t borders in Europe so easy enough for someone to be given a new life in FR, BE, DE, DK etc.. young adult dealers in NL are given comparatively lenient penalties compared to UK, usually a proportionate fine rather than a prison sentence. only PMA dealers get prison (as that stuff is poison!) but they’ve lost the bulk deal of drugs and the profits and still need to make that loss up further up the chain. if they cannot, the usual unpleasantness can follow, same as in any country.

neither country gives more than a caution for personal use nowadays.

I almost got nicked on a border crossing once. I was not carrying anything, so I thought. The dog marked on my right pocket of my trouser and I pulled out a doggy bag with dog food as treat for my dog. It was labrador so I made a comment that those dogs really love food lol. When reached the destination I found a lump of hashish(top Q soft sticky type, the pocket had fold around it) that was not my plan to have it there. The dog were right and I was lucky…

Often the cops / border control which specialise in deploying dogs do this out of choice so can sometimes be distracted by talking about dogs.

In my old town there was this cop who was very much the “traditional British Bobby” and preferred to ride his bicycle everywhere than use a patrol car. (he also won cycling races and had a load of trophies but didn’t boast about it like many other cops would)

Me and my mates soon learned that if we were on bicycles, provided we obeyed traffic rules and every bit of our bikes was correct (brakes, lights after dark, no stolen parts or bikes) and we weren’t making excessive noise/mess he would leave us alone and not search us (and so it was easy to get all kinds of things past him). but he had this habit of always turning up everywhere you did not want to encounter him.

I have a feeling though he knew exactly what we were up to, but decided that it was far more important we stayed safe upon the roads than anything else, as unlike personal drug use bad behaviour on the roads does cause harm to both the criminal and innocents….

in most towns in England there is a community group for cyclists which often publishes a magazine, and just before he retired there was an interview and article about him, where he finally talked about his career in a bit more depth, turned out that far from being a soft touch he had busted all the heroin and crack addicts what were doing burglaries of houses and nicking bikes and other shitty things but left us youths alone..

Rain affects sniffer dog’s ability as well.

I’m gonna start hiding my drugs in dog food from now on. :laugh_at:

That’s a great idea daft, but wouldn’t work for me unfortunately – I’m really partial to a tin of pedigree chum! Can’t help it, it’s the meaty junks in jelly!
