TBH I expect if you asked a lot of foreign people to name “two British doctors” you would most likely get the answers “Dr Harold Shipman” and “Dr Who”

round here most of them are; only problems (more with locums/short term) are language barriers otherwise they are perfectly skilled at treating mad people and/or those who have been setting about each other with knives or guns or anything else.
I work in a rural area and You do still get the traditional British doctor like you may have seen on TV / movies complete with black bag although they could be of any ancestry; and many of them genuinely dress like Dr Who. I work in a UK healthcare facility (and am of Asian ancestry) and its not unusual to get mistaken for medical staff by the patients.
Coincidentally in some rural areas near me there are as many people with various guns as in some USA villages; its only pistols which are illegal in the UK and ammunition other than .22LR very hard to get and monitored and its also not particularly easy to get gun licenses unless you are in a rural area).
The bumpkins (country folk) do regularly shoot each other but its usually folk known to one another; random snipers and mass shootings are uncommon. TBH if we let everyone here have guns (even their use by cops is restricted and very heavily monitored) there would be idiots shooting each other because of stupid arguments about football (soccer) and/or restarting the civil war between two factions of Christianity and the country would be soon empty; we wouldn’t even get immigrants because many people come to the UK as they were getting shot at in their own countries.
