I’m using the free ZoneAlarm with no complaints so far.
I pay to use the Kapersky AV [it has a firewall but I use a hardware firewall so dont use it though it is very good 😉
I recently installed (yesterday) the full verion of AVG, it picked up a hell of a lot of things that Norton wasn’t so it cant be too bad.
So I installed the Panda virus check which has a firewall with it (cool).
Its working really smoothly so far and has cleaned some little bits and pieces, so all good. Still waiting for my credit card but only 5 days to go, I hope.
Cheers for the input everyone. 😉
I use my router’s firewall, Comodo firewall and Norton Antivirus Corporate…
I did used to use Norton Internet Security but it seemed to take up a lot of resources and give little protection over smaller lighter progs, was a bastard to get off my system too.
The consumer version is really quite bad it’s true…
I didn’t realise there was a difference, that’s learnt me! Got to admit the virus ananlysis database has come in a lot of use in the past when it comes to “masked” blended threats etc, I was a bit pissed off at the performance coz I started with Norton Commander in the heady days of Win9x and always found the AV etc the most effective up until about 2002 versions.
