get them tested. There are dangerous pills around across Northern Europe which contain a substance called PMA or PMMA. These have killed people.

Thanks.. How do I test them? I know I have to buy some kind of test kit, but what specific test kit do I need? And were can I buy it? I have searched the web, but didn’t find anything I thought were suitable.

there are various test kits available. Most use the Marquis reagent test but there are other kinds.

I am not 100% sure where you would get them in DK – the problem isn’t so much that they are directly forbidden but they themselves contain hazardous chemicals. Also those local testing ones still may not directly identify PMA pills. The only system which does is the tolerated testing régimes of the Netherlands in proper forensic laboratories.

That said these tests are better than nothing and I think small amounts of these chemicals can go through the courier (I often buy some with similar safety controls for use in my other hobby which is electronics) and they seem to be sent through the courier system without problems.

You can also find reports on ecstasy pills from across the world (Including DK) from this website: Pill Reports – Ecstasy Test Results Database by Enlighten however, I don’t think it’s wise to purely use this and assume you are safe.

Thanks, your answer helped me a lot, I found a couple of web stores, were I can buy it. I will try to order it and see what happens. In worst case customs service will detain it.

I know drugs are illegal and bad for you, but people still use drugs. Why not legalize it, and make some kind of regulation. The government could make a lot of money, like they do on cigarettes & alcohol, and the users would be more safe.
In Switzerland they have “legalized” heroin, the addicts can walk into a dispensary, and get clean needles and medical heroin. They now have a clean and safe place to shoot up, as far as I know it have been a great success. Drug related crime has dropped, as well as fatalities. A lot of users actually have jobs now, and a normal life besides their drug use.

provided the package is good and strong and does not leak there should not be a problem.

I think it is only when you try to buy a whole litre or kilo of something like sulfuric acid (svolysyre) or caustic soda (natriumhydroxid) from overseas and then send it through the post or courier it will cause problems and that is fair enough as that is nasty dangerous stuff to send through the domestic postal system.

But these two chemicals do get used in the testing kit. Even so there are ways of legitimately getting such chemicals shipped – after all amateur science and engineering are popular hobbies throughout Northern Europe and there are legitimate reasons to have these things. Its not uncommon for me to have harsh flammable solvents shipped to my home or work, and bags of metal nails/screws/washers. I live in England were we have constant anti terrorism paranoia and I am not of white skin – but the Police don’t knock my door and ask me what I do with all these things (I clean components and assemblies with them, and also my bicycle. It would fall to pieces otherwise, with the poor quality roads we have in the UK).

Although these test kits do contain nasty chemicals they are only a few ml of each. Small amounts of any chemical, safely packaged and labelled can usually be sent worldwide without problems.

I would not worry about your English, though I have picked up a small amount of Danish as its not dissimilar to Dutch and I have a long standing curiosity/interest in Northern European languages your English is way better…

You’re right, it shouldn’t be a problem, as long as it isn’t large quantities. I have just ordered a test kit, all I can do now is wait and see..

You wrote that one of your hobby is electronics, do you make your own PCBs? It’s one of my hobby too, though it’s been a while since i’ve made anything. I used to make my own PCBs, and had to use ferric chloride (FeCl2) to sear the cupper. That is some nasty stuff..

About language, I too have a great interest in foreign languages, but when I don’t use it, I forget it. In school I learned english, deutsch, a bit french and latin, but I never use it, and have forgotten most of it. I tried to pick up som esperanto, but didn’t get very far, but there is still time:) Danish is a difficult language to learn, at least I’ve heard, could imagine that Dutch is difficult too. Glad to hear my english isn’t to bad..

Now it’s time to go clubbing, have to meet up with a couple of my buddies. We’ve decided to make it an only alcohol night – No drugs:weee: We have the highest respect to drugs, and don’t use it if we aren’t sure what it is. That’s why I started this thread, had to know what I was about to take.

yep Ferric Chloride is a nasty corrosive chemical but you can get it sent to your door provided the packaging is good.

There is some new stuff used today which is less harsh but more expensive, though I have not made PCBs for a while… Though when I do order hazardous stuff the worst that can happen is they get sent in a separate parcel from the other stuff a day later and there is a envelope inside it with about 10 pages of health and safety info. it might delay my project by a day or so if I haven’t planned for it but no other problems have occured. I am not sure if parcels containing known drug testing kits would even be stopped in Denmark which is one of the more progressive European countries, though they are still not perfect as apparently many new pill formulations are made so as to not show up as well on these testing kits that they contain nastier substances like PMA.
