people say “legal” but often it just means they rented the venue rather than squatted it but ignored the need to get a TENS or PEL. Whatever peoples personal views on the law are, a 100% legal party needs both to have permission of the venue owner and the relevant license, and even then the license can be withdrawn or the event locked off if the feds think it is becoming unsafe or over capacity.
Otherwise its no different than any other unlicensed rave and can be closed down at any time if the cops wish to do so. Now this might of course not be the case, the whole thing might well be licensed, (for instance a few events in Essex have been done this way) but without actual venue details no one can be 100% sure.
