nah, most of my local mates have dropped out of the scene or even left the UK so not been partying for ages, and TBH I’d have been most disappointed if I had.
saw the video before it was took down – WTF were people doing crowding round and not leaving the Fire and Rescue service to do their work? its bad enough a fire started (and not the first time one has happened at a rave) but more shit that they seemed to think the feds would let the party continue..

bonkers innit, complete bunch of tards.
i didnt get a chance to watch the video AS it was taken down pretty sharpish, but did read the details. Your right its not the 1st time a fire has happend at a party, and wont be the last im sure, in fact it happend in bristol on NYE. However when that happend the party was shut down and priority given to the fire bridage to get their job done & good communication between orginisers and OB.
This seems like a complete cluster fuck! and the rig was confiscated. dont think i would be raving round those ways for a lil while! isnt it quite near norfolk aswell?
i dont understand why the rig crew didnt try and help disperse the crowd and let the fire crew do there job!?!?!?!
complete disgrace
its about 10 miles away from the border with Norfolk. Apparently the cops noticed the fire – I can’t understand why the moment someone noticed anything alight what shouldn’t have been they didn’t stop the music and if they weren’t able to extinguish it themselves, to call the Brigade (whilst discreetly packing down the rig and van and getting this out of the area)..
Turned up to this party about 5 to find the barn was on fire! f nose how it started! another thing to make ravers look bad!

exactly! why carry on a party when the buildings on fire! shows complete lack of respect from the crew putting this on, why endanger your punters?
my 1st thought would be turn the decks off announce over the rig the situation using headphones as a mike half crew orginises crowd & attempts to control fire, other half pack rig up.

i too hope sooner, but clusterfucks like this have been happining for many years in that area of england, not burning of barn’s as such, just general shite – kidnappings, rigs going missing, rig monkeys, shite trance, zero tolerance policing etc, stabbing’s, rapings and now barns on fire!
theres something in the water round those ways im telling ya!
not gooood

if they don’t learn quick it will be locked down even more, as if it could get any worse(r)…
combo breaker i was there
i was there from beggining to end….
the “barn” was a roof on stilts type
the “sides”were made of car sized hay bales 4 high
30×60 metres
i was parked Facing out the open side
the rsponse to the fire was instant
it appeared first “to us on the inside” on top of th bale in the far right corner 7=8 metres up
some guys ran aroun the back and the call went out to get the 3 or four vehicles out
I ran to the back to 1 copper standing quite as amouse and guys trying to push that section of “wall” over
it was alread y too late iwent back tom y van and scramble people and random cabinets in the van till it was stuffed full
Icvould only move forward a few metres but decided to be patient and let the cluster of cars disperse
teams were sent down the lane to clear the route out as soon as the Building(roof on stilts) was clear
they came back saying the police were not letting anyone out the lane to leave….
any questions please feeel free to ask
brb tomorrow

“ran to the back to 1 copper standing quite as amouse and guys trying to push that section of “wall” over”
why were the police there 1st?
was this the crews first outing?
ive heard reports of ravers not letting the fire brigade go about there job is this true?
has the rig been returned?
was there acid & shite trance?

Coppers get scared too… knowing how hostile some ravers can be and having a fire (and peoples safety) to deal with. as first on scene he would also be personally responsible for making sure the Fire Brigade knew the exact location. he may well have been trying to remember which buttons to press on his Airwave radio to get the GPS reading or map on the screen, and/or make sure his control room and Fire Brigade had picked it up. Still has to be done in the old way via voice and he would have to wait for confirmation (either via voice or a message on the radio screen) as the digital link between the Fire Brigade and other blue light services got cancelled last year because they ran out of money!
Getting into an argument with ravers wouldn’t have been helpful at that point. It is because of GPS kit that the Fire Brigade got there quickly, not any conspiracies. And if their control room is told that a straw building with people in it has caught on fire the Brigade turn up as quickly as they can, which isn’t a bad thing..
From my experience of that big rave in July 2007 what got busted (and for which my friends ended up in jug) and some info I found out via the FOI releases on the Suffolk Constabulary site, the reason they don’t let people out to leave is they kettle them until they get the ANPR unit in and then store all the numberplate details in a big database, many other constabularies do this as well.
People what regularly drive to and from raves often then get randomly stopped by cops and the vehicle searched midweek (this can happen weeks or months later) and they also get turned over for DUI or other motoring offences they can find.
This happened to a friend in SE England who lost his license for a few months and the cops said that on the screen it flashes up “KNOWN RAVE UNIT” whenever he goes past a traffic police car and they knew he was one of the drivers for a local rave crew. They had even indexed both a van he used and his smaller saloon car!
BTW this monitoring happens in the whole country, not just East Anglia but if people drive carefully and aren’t involved in other crimes they are more or less left alone.
see below, there was confusion over the address the Fire Brigade had initially earlier (they are a few streets apart)
