why were the police there 1st? dunnno really bugs me that…
was this the crews first outing?no they,ve been out a few times
ive heard reports of ravers not letting the fire brigade go about there job is this true? i doubt this as all we wanted to do is clear the area and gat the hell out of dodge…
after i left who knows…
has the rig been returned?
not that i’m aware of…
was there acid & shite trance? techno no acid or shite trance maybe we had that treat to come eh
as for the kettling for data retreaval all well and good i suppose under normal circumstances but this was the reason the track was not clear for the brigade meanwhile my self and my passengers are still in the burning barn with no room to manoeuver….
i look forward to my cavity search later in the month,,,,

looking at the SFRS facebook page it seems that the Fire Brigade got deployed to a incorrect address first.. this is exactly the sort of position error flaky GPS kit would produce.. the Fire Brigade were gonna get lots of new kit but the project got cancelled, a lot of this stuff (as well as Airwave) was developed round here at BT (some former and current staff from there are drinking buddies of mine and family friends so I get to hear of a lot of interesting info from them)
if the cops were delaying exit by searches/gathering data that isn’t good but maybe they were also concerned about are having to get fuckloads of people who might be under the influence out of the area in a state of panic.. I’ve seen people crash their cars on the way out from raves before due to a combination of drugs and sleep deprivation.
I’m amazed that people thought to party a barn full of hay when there has been fuck all rain for ages, they could have just gone into Thetford Forest as apparently some parties there are being left alone there due to Police budget cuts – as the parties are normally held in the clear bits its way harder to light the place on fire by accident…
At least you and your passengers got out safe which is what is really important – but TBH if the exact same thing had happened in a legal venue in Ipswich, Stowmarket or Lowestoft there would be a instant evacuation, people wouldn’t have had the option to hang around, nor even attempt to disagree with anything the emergency services asked them to do.

there was a video on youtube, it got taken down by the people what put it there as it could be bait and people have been identified and busted from rave videos before.
I went to this party, and heres my opinion;
The crews involved with this party are all new rigs out, made from people who have little or no respect. These rigs have the worst rig names ive ever heard of, and thats saying somthing! They have had atleast had 3 major incidents at there parties, and they have only been out less than 7/8 times.
A stabbing, A fire, and a huge fight on the bank holiday.
Not including 2 rigs which hav been taken off them for doing sucide parties.
The tunes – we hard about 4 tunes, all ridiculously distorted and this was half 4 in the morning atleast! half 4 i nthe mroning, 4 tunes….what happened to the other 4 hours of night time?!?!?!
the bank holiday party they did at the begining of may i think, was also a shambles, somebody quoted me one of the rig members, it was a 3 way linkup; “nobody knows how to set the crossover up” comon seriously, throwing a bank holiday party with 3 rigs and theres not a single rig technician in site? Im glad i was in the south of france flying gliders instead of in england wasting my time on that pointless party!)
These lot want to sort the acts out big time and stop making life harder for the better new rigs around here. We try hard to create a good scene with no complaints and friends only atmosphere, and they just seem to want to piss it up the wall. Im glad ive only been to 2 of there parties, because i wont be attending anymore!

I know you’re not like this and nor are your friends or many of my friends in their 20s (who all seem to have stopped partying recently 😥 ) but TBH I think the rave scene has degenerated into a extension of townie nightlife but with more drugs involved.
The reason why a few years ago feds and locals tolerated raves in this area wasn’t that they liked the music or that they accepted the blatant use and dealing of drugs at them, and they were still at least slightly cross as the blatant disregard of private property rights.
it was simply because the traditional townie venues caused much more hassle to the cops, Ambulance and Fire and Rescue services – as well as violent incidents its not that uncommon for disgruntled punters to torch venues or parts thereof to get back at bouncers etc, or to set off false fire alarms.
Now the gap has been closed and free parties are causing all the same issues as other night life but without a penny being paid in licensing fees to the public purse.
Until this changes the authorities will continue to clamp down on unlicensed events as well as locking down all the other nightlife. They are already closing down the townie clubs in Ipswich one by one by making it impossible to afford the licensing costs.

This could well be one of the reasons more towny types are attending/holding illigal raves. Besides the obvious extra freedoms that free parties had that are getting abused.

this is very recent though and TBH most of the folk what attend a commercial club here even if they have cars don’t like the music all that much. if them lot were doing illegal rave’s you’d be hearing r’n’b and commercial dance at them.

Yeah good point.
sounds crazy what happened down there. But then i do feel it strange for the soundsystem to have chosen such a location where the walls were made of hay… at least no one got hurt that’s the main thing. And i hope the soundsystem learn from their mistake!!

what I don’t understand if he’s from Wisbech, why come all the way down here when there are probably easier areas to party nearer to him?
