Good one ace!!
im too indecisive to get a tattoo. some friends seemed to want the perfect tattoo that kinda sums up their life or some poetic favourite. one friend has an ernest hemingway quote that takes up four lines on the inside of his forearm. i was thinking to get a tattoo of ‘oops’ looking like its been written on the bus or something with some ink splotches. but i doubt i’d bother and also i have a japanese gf now and tattoos can restrict your activity in japan
I do not, as for one thing I hate needles and I’m also of Asian ancestry. in our country cops get taught “multicultural awareness” which by and large isn’t a bad thing but they get taught about each minority group by the older middle class folk of that group, which means that instead of old style racism all the judgmental dogma of our parents generation is taught to the cops! As know hope mentions above, someone with tattoos in an Asian country is judged.
So even in Britain, an Asian guy with tattoos of any kind is transformed from being “hard working Asian guy who fixes your computers and makes electronic stuff work” to “drug dealer, criminal, who will seduce your 14 year old daughter”.
However this (and stoners watching Hong Kong films, Jackie Chan movies etc) has a reverse effect that “Asian tattoos” are seen as cool especially for those of native Western ancestry who want to look like “gangstas”. Especially those with “Chinese characters” on them. But very few tattoo parlours here in the UK/Europe are run by anyone who knows the slightest bit of any Asian language (they are difficult after all), even though they claim to do “Asian” tattoos.
And that way many people get complete pseudo Chinese gibberish indelibly tattooed on their bodies, or worse, characters which mean “dumb animal” or “supermarket” or “noodles”

I can see that… In japan about six months ago it was just getting to where the japanese where ok with it. (could be because a lot and i mean a lot of americans lived near me…cannot confirmed this though.)
