Update your virus definitions then restart your computer in safe mode and run a scan.

That should remove it and after that get rid of norton as it’s a piece of shit.

As well as AV, install something like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Spybot – Search & Destroy as well, they go beyond virus and trojan protection and stop non-virus malware like hijackers, key-loggers, advertising servers and suchlike crap. Both are free, MWB seems simpler to setup whereas Spybot needs more manual configuration. But if you spend a little time to get Spybot doing automatic updates and use its Immunise option to hook into your web browser then folk on Usenet say it’s even better protection.

just in responce to someone saying they had a trojan. its not a virus its an info recorder. if you play online games, internet banking, hell logins for your e-mail it will all be recorded and sent off to either a pc or a server. and even tho avg might of said it removed it you can get nasty buggers that lie dormant for a few weeks and arnt detected. id recomend formating your pc to and reinstalling windows to be sure its gone.
