The point the cops are trying to prove is simply “don’t fuck up other peoples buildings” and “don’t take the piss in the neighbourhood”. whilst they will stop a party if peopel are being particularly bait online, most of the feds online surveillance is in fact directed against young people involved in violent crime or other crime/anti-social behaviour.
90% of the time they are genuinely called by concerned locals reporting noise or disturbance, or the building owners / their security staff.
I even felt a bit sorry for that hipster twat what had his building rinsed last October, even though he was properly out of Nathan Barley but it seemed a bit like “wannabe gangsters” bullying a “posh kid”.
Which is shit enough as it is in the environment of somewhere like a high school, but when its people older than me involved and the posh kid had legally got the right to rent the building from one of the EU’s biggest finance and investment companies there is no way the Met were ever going to just stand back and let it happen..
