  • TRUE LIFE: I’M HOOKED ON MOLLY
Are you someone who takes Molly — the powdered form of MDMA – so often that it feels like you can’t ever have a good time without it? Do you roll more than once a week? Have you found yourself getting depressed if you’re not using Molly on a regular basis? Is it starting to affect your ability to function during the day? Is your Molly use no longer confined to the occasional party and starting to become more serious?

If you appear between the ages of 18-28 and identify with any of the above we want to hear from you. Email us at molly@lintonmedia.com. Please be sure to include your name, location, telephone number and a recent photo

    Thanks for reading!

Well this seems like it’s gonna be a really well-balanced and fair show!

TBH I don’t think any broadcaster in the world is allowed to put across a positive view of drugs. Also it would be more ethical for Linton to give full details of their production company and advise that this is MTV USA as this site is international and there is more than one MTV channel worldwide.

I was going to mention this in reply to one of stayawayfromafrica’s posts but this just confirms the USA “EDM boom” is merely a half-arsed attempt at replicating the 1990s in Europe and could go pear shaped in a really short amount of time (something André Tannenbaum also mentioned in an interview about a year ago). I would advise any Americans reading here to keep their wits about them especially if they choose to attend larger EDM events.

    My thoughts exactly

Where do the many 10Ks of users who have no problems taking Molly send emails ???

Oh no dont want them, we only want 5 or 6 really bad cases to sensationalize…………… TRUE LIFE my arse, true life has two sides to every debate, and MTV can kiss my two hairy buttocks

I assure you we are not dodgy… Just the mere nature of this show does make it difficult to find real stories, considering half the people are scared they will get in trouble and half do use molly responsibly.
True life never demoralizes its more serious subjects. There are people out there who may have let their recreational drug use get out of hand, and may want to share their stories.

There are also 10,000 more people who haven’t and can responsibly use drugs yet fulfill their responsobilities when necessary.
Why don’t you interview/follow both, it’ll make for a much more succesful proportionate program. You can’t just sensationalize it and give the drug a bad name when it is relatively safe and non destructive.

“There are people out there who may have let their recreational drug use get out of hand”
Alcohol is a recreational drug too, go pursue some alcoholics then.

And thats the reason it will never be balanced, all the users who have jobs, pay their bills etc will NOT want to expose themselves for fear of losing everything

Like all theses shows all you will get is the down&outs with nothing to lose and minor celebs after some free publicity……… basically the ones who will give a bad impression of a drug most people use responsibly as a recreational activity

You are part of a legitiimate production company (media researchers are security checked to keep our users safe) and might not be dodgy to USA viewers who are familiar with your other projects, but 80% of these forums younger users are from Europe, where MTV has completely separate programming produced in Poland (used to be London but labour is cheaper in Poland) – I system tested a large chunk of their playout when I worked as a broadcast engineer in the 90s..

As well as different tech standards, European productions are made with different editorial codes and the way you have approached the forum users (asking for a substantial amount of personal information) would make them very suspicious and in some cases is legally questionable (as a number of our regular users are aged 16-18 and classed as minors under European law).

I don’t know what the exact FCC production code is but MTV USA does have well documented censorship including against “pro drugs” content, and independent companies do not have the clout to buck this if they or their staff want to stay in work!

Anyway UK production companies were doing (or trying to do) stuff like this about 20 years ago and for the reasons Mezz mentioned it just backfired on everyone, including the small independent production companies and their staff as they got “ghettoised” – if anything it caused long term damage to the music and creative media industries of the UK, which even today are judged as “run by druggie scum” – a lot of folk who were around then have not forgotten this.

this show is bull and full of sensationalizing idiots who either never did any of the stuff they’re supposed to be on or are just at the bottom of the IQ pool…
i’ve seen the episode on “I’m on steroids” and oh my god was i sick to my stomach. i’ve been using steroids for over 8 years now (it’s legal in my country) and the misinformation spread on that show was sickening. there was NOTHING correct about what was broad casted. PLUS, i personally know people who applied to be on that show and got rejected (they were very well informed, experienced, and never had any side effects)… but no… you chose the guy who took steroids for a couple of weeks than wanted to commit suicide because of the depression? LOL… or the cage fighter that was taking a steroid that was supposed to “enhance his speed, agility, and strength”, when in reality it was a steroid that dries the joints out and causes increase in hardness and less agility? the whole show was a joke… it competes well with your crappy fake “sweet 16” crap.

i’m new to the forum and all… but no one should ever ever ever trust these guys.

Molly (as you USAers call it) is not the powdered form of mdma it is just mdma in its pure form. It is usually crystalline in structure. If its a powder its probably been ground up so it can be cut easily.

mtv is really deep. sometimes i like to meditate with it on in the background… i think u can trust them. they are only trying to help and entertain. essentially they are your friend; a warm fuzzy energy that comes into your life for your enjoyment and education only. i would definitely trust mtv or tv in general over drugs, especially psychedelic ones, they are the really evil bad ones that warp your mind and try to turn you against tv. tv = friend
