I have (soon, shhhh) the Asus transformer prime and the misses has the nexus 7 (she wanted a kindle but there is a kindle app and she likes using sepia as a background colour). I hope it’s as good as it’s meant to be 😀 yay Christmas
PS How do you find PV on your tablet? Any sites just not work? Android only Apple need not apply 😛
Na just kidding ipads welcome in the spirit of inclusiveness.
PV works great on mah iPad. Fits the screen perfectly 😀
Quite a few sites I like won’t work due to lack of flash 🙁 It’s lucky that a lot of sites use html5 now.
The only tablets that I am interested in are the ones that get you high.
I have no need at all for a tablet. I have two laptops, a tower PC, a high-end smartphone and an Xbox 360. Can’t see what I could possibly want a tablet for.

Tell me that when you can’t get on crazyshit.com 😛
Although I will be happy when html5 replaces flash as its much faster.

I’d rather a smallish laptop tbh

Never been on that site but everyone is switching and Flash is being discontinued so gotta be a good thing. Was great in its day, vectors and all that but now its just bloaty and annoying.
No. Because they are completely crap without an internet connection. Unlike a real computer. 🙂

Nah man. I can play max payne and shit 😀
Can you burn a DVD?
I’m waiting for the Surface Pro, and then when it comes out I’ll wait a bit more until it gets a bit cheaper and they iron out the inevitable first-gen kinks. It’s basically a laptop that is easier to carry around than my current so why not?

so why not?
Well, it’s like this. For most people it isn’t an issue but, if you do creative and innovative stuff with a machine like a computer, you might not want to make that information even theoretically available via a network connection. So you keep the research stuff offline. It’s only an issue if the stuff you like to make is commercially sensitive, or maybe politically or legally sensitive.
There comes a time when everything comes out and is either public suspicion if not public knowledge. But, sometimes it’s better to keep the lid on the pot for a better stew. So to speak.
There’s also the issue of fun getting in the way of creative expression. PCs do absorb an awful lot of attention, and there’s only so many hours in a day. Which is why organising some limits around your own personal (ab)usage of information technology, networks etc, is quite a good idea.
There’s nothing wrong with playing Max Payne or music or videos on the things, but if that’s all that’s done with them, how do you expect anything else to get organised?
Tablets FTW!
My nexus 7 was stolen 🙁
