  • I’ve injured my left arm from doing a bit of manual labour the other day, it happened on tuesday and has just got worse since. The joint on the inside of my elbow feels like it is going to snap when i try and put my arm straight.

The pain isn’t really dull or sharp just more of a very strong ache and when I woke up this morning and got out of bed it was crippling. It feels a lot better when i bend my arm and tuck it in the position it would be in if it was in a sling, so i think i’m going to make a sling and put it in that, but I don’t want it to stiffen up completely..

So do you think I should keep it bent until the pain goes away or shall I try to keep strecthing it as much as possible until i am able to put it straight without pain??

Jk, I dont know actually I broke my arm last years and I was told to not move it as the bones don’t heal.
If you don’t want to speak to your quack, go to the pharmacy and they will advise you.

I’d seek proper medical advice as we don’t know what you’ve injured although in my humble opinion sounds like you’ve strained a ligament or tendon, and the best way to remedy that depends on how badly you’ve strained it and whether it is the former or the latter. So yeah I’d just down some painkillers (legal or illegal ones) until you can see a doctor.

    got no painkillers 😥

put a bit of deep freeze on it and its help a little still feels fucked to move my arm though, will get it checked soon

Alcohol is a good pain killer…drink loadsa beer is my suggestion and give that arm a rest

Weed, benzos, xtc, heck even alcohol are all unofficial painkillers. Sure you can access at least one of those three things.

BTW the reason I speculate ligament or tendon injury is that I myself have on going problems with both knees but particularly my left knee from old sports injuries. Damn my days of health and fitness bothering me with injuries even nearly 10 years after they occurred. Think If I stopped taking all illicit substances in 10 years time I’d have very little to no ill effects still bothering me; both my knees would still be knackered. Stay inside and take drugs if you value your health lol. Bit of a tangent there, yeah I nearly ripped all the tendons in my left knee playing footy years ago. Had very similar symptoms to you that got worse the longer I left it; certainly didn’t feel like I’d practically torn my knee cap off at the time but two weeks later it did. Couldn’t straighten my leg beyond a crouched position, went to A&E and had the laughing gas treatment whilst 4 large men pulled and pushed at my leg from various angles until shit was stretched back into place. I’m pretty certain they may even have dislocated and relocated my knee during the process as the almighty popping snap (you know the noise if you’ve ever dislocated anything) is a very distinct noise that still rings in my ears today lol, or is that tinnitus?

I have had the same thing. It went away after a few weeks. I did go to the doctor and he refereed me to the trauma clinic but by the time I got my appointment I could straighten my arm again.

Tbh it wasn’t that bad of an experience as I was still young enough to be on the children’s ward, 13 I think, and was tripping off the gas. I could hear what was happening to my leg but couldn’t feel shit and was rather enjoying watching Tigger bouncing around the room. Thinking about it now that was my first ever trip lol.

    hahaha that sounds wicked

a bit late on the topic, but a sling is used more so that your arm is supported so you dont do further damage. is it any better yet?

    take up boxing.

failing that go to the docs! (and i’d advise to keep it supported and move it as little as possible till you’ve been.

yeah it’s better now, think i must have just pulled a muscle or something

Oh. I was about to ask if it had been amputated yet.

No need to ask I guess.
