I know a couple of people with aspergus
one is generally fully functioning and in well paid job and happy most of the time
one is on disability and depressed most of the time
one is in the middle of a psychotic episode and thinks he’s a prophet
Mixed bag really, they’re all lovely people but it’s a spectrum and you cannot predict someone by their diagnosis

there are a few different ones you can do, not sure of the site though my misses gave it to me. There not to be used on their own as a diagnosis tool though but tis quite interesting.
this is mine, though i might have adhd, as im quite slack and easily distracted and daydream a fair bit, but probably just turns out im probably lazy!

Your Aspie score: 89 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 115 of 200
You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits
Final
have to admit I’d not expected results as “normal” as this, I’d thought I was worse particularly with regard to social occasions – but TBH I consider a lot of my current shyness/introversion/less risk taking/impulsive behaviour a defence mechanism to avoid getting into bad situations and a part of maturity than anything negative…

Just done a test online (well, another one) and it seems that is fairly certain I have Aspergers/Austism. For those that are good at reading graphs;
Your Aspie score: 138 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 55 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie [Aspergers]certainly explains my whole life, depression my arse. Been suspected for a long time but when I do the tests the questions just fit my life perfectly. Need to go get an official diagnosis and stuff I can start sorting my life out yet again. Excuse me why I go and find the end of a bottle or 3.
ps thanks for the rant.
I got diagnosed with AS at the age of 10. Although i have a pretty mild version of it, it was still bad at times esp when i was at school. there is no cure for it but you can get help. Einstein and isaac newton had it, as do michael palin, bill gates and many more successfull people.

Was reminded about this link today as I did the actual Aspergers test that psychologists use as I was really bored at work today, and I scored quite high, well over the control, but below ‘clinical diagnosis’ cut off,
but after discussing it with a psychologist who has years of experience working with people with aspergers she believes it may link with my dyslexia and that the score I got would certainly suggest traits!! Eek! So my new name at work is Aspie…..

I got 16 which is the average score from the control group. I don’t like being normal.
